And if we still had Gooden, that means we would still have Hughes.. Which means, we wouldn't be a top 3 team in the league as we are today.

LeBron quoted after the game about his travelling. "You have your trademark play, and that's one of my plays. It's a perfectly legal play, something I've always done." 3 steps to the basket is his definition of one of his trademark moves - could anything be much funnier??

And if that doesn't speak volumes regarding the inequitable star treatment that goes on in the league, nothing does.

Except wasn't a jump stop. Just a simple travel. Or a jump-walk... Here's the ESPN slo-mo replay. No big deal, a ton of players travel. Normally I don't participate in ref-whining. Superstars get calls because fans want to see them play, not watch the refs blow whistles. Same thing that tortured Cavs fans when Jordan was running over their squad, works in their favor for as long as LeBron plays for them. If he ended up on the Knicks or Nets, it would start to irritate. Refs are pretty consistent with that: If you don't get the calls, well hell, get a bigger star is all. Though I suspect refs may start to call the Wiz/Cavs endgames a notch more tightly after the league-wide histrionics following the Christmas Day game. Or maybe today was the gift-game.

Now I can see the argument on the charge call though. It's pretty close either way. I wouldn't have complained if the call was in LeBron's favor. They usually give him that one where they wouldn't give it to a lesser player.

It's too bad the refs finally correctly called traveling on Lebron's signature move today.

He traveled more egregiously in the past.

Also, the refs should have put a bow on the Christmas day game. The way they called it the last 1:40 was one of the worst I've seen in 35 years of watching the NBA.

Cleveland is BETTER than Washington. Your team has BY FAR the best player. Your team rebounds and defends. In the past I'd scream at the tv for Eddie Jordan to use Blatche or Haywood for defense, but he kept allowing his jumpshooters to jack bad shots and not defend.

FINALLY a Washington coach has figured out the key to beating Cleveland is to outrebound them!

Today was poetic justice and LBJ is actually saying it was a bad call. That's why I'm not a King James fan, per se. I recognize his greatness but after killing Washington in the playoffs year after year, and getting mucho calls in the process -- and especially after the Christmas game--he's upset about the travel.

I'm out.

Sorry for posting this on your board. Washington deserved this win.

Yes that is the definition of gloating. Quite laughable that you would not see that but Wiz fans in general are a joke sooo......

I thought that the refs had said during the offseason that the little jump-step LeBron does was not legal anymore? I don't actually recall him doing it at any point this season and getting away with it so when the play went down and he got called for the travel I wasn't surprised, does anyone else remember them saying he couldn't do that move anymore months ago? Either way, I'm glad it helped keep the Cavs-Wizards "rivalry" alive, especially since Washington is such garbage now and won't get to play in any meaningful games in the playoffs.

well hey, when you call someone's team dog sh*t don't expect them not to remind you who ended up with the W today even if it was meaningless to you. I came in here to say good game and you turned it in to an argument so I guess that would qualify you as a joke good sir. Sorry you got your feelings hurt.

Let it go before it excalates

no worries, I'm gone......

until we play again that is

Quite the genius of a coach the Wizards have there...

I had no idea there was set plays for rebounding... I thought it was all hustle, effort, and the way the ball bounces...

Guys,

We now need to find a coach that has the mental capability to figure how to get our guys to get even more rebounds than the other team now... Cause it would appear these teams are now going to attack us with rebounding coaches... :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

McGuire in place of Stevenson is an idea I had long ago. It adds defense, rebounds, and points in the paint.

The Wizards have repeatedly trotted out Jamison and Butler at the Fs for about 40 minutes each and every game they played Cleveland in the past. Mike Brown has countered with Ilguaskas paired with a fresh Varejao or Wallace late in games. Cleveland has had ridiculously better rebounding than the Wizards late in past games. Cleveland's second-chance points have been the Wizards' nemesis (and the open threes they got often as a result) practically as much as Lebron has. Rebounds have hurt the Wiz v the Cavs.

NOT SO any more.

McGuire will grab about 8 rebounds in the same time Stevenson grabs 2.

On the subject of plays, McGuire scores without plays called for him. He doesn't force jumpers like DeShawn.

This coach ALSO DOESN"T PLAY SONGAILA AT C WITH JAMISON AT PF. Time after time in the past Varejao outrebounded Songaila badly late in games. This coach doesn't play that.

L&H_05, I know what I'm talking about and I hope you can see that PERSONNEL CHANGE can mean more rebounds.

Just curious, how many times has Mike Brown been ejected as our coach? I can recall one time before this game. So all I'm coming up with is twice. It was comical seeing him go off for once.

Surprisingly, I completely agree. We've been hot dog droppings this year before playing the young talent. And before that were mediocre on defense even WITH our defensive starting center. (Though hey, when healthy we turned it up a notch and beat the Celts 3 out of 4 games last year).

If we have to suck --and suck well enough for a high lotto pick-- you at least want a good showing against your nemesis. Win or lose, you want a close game with lots of hate and bad feelings. That's when it gets fun. We suck our way to the top Wonka ticket and still beat the Cavs? Cool. I'll take it.

That said. Much as I'm still in tank mindset, still the squad is *only* ~8 games out of the playoffs in this crap Eastern conference. Never know. With health and a post-allstar run, there's still hope for some good late-season hate. Consider this though, our bench just beat you. Our Center is out and our starting Point got 5 points total. Your starting center is out and your backcourt didn't do much better. We get our point guard back at some point though. Post season rumble might be more meaningful than it's been in the past. So I'm torn. If we miss the postseason and pick up good talent cheap, fine, vengeance delayed maybe? If we get hot late and streak into the playoffs, no telling what could happen.

Still fun to have a good enemy either way.

I'd say you can take 2-1/2 but not 3 steps. Crab move? LOL.
