Wolves/Clippers

Post#1 » by B Calrissian » Mon Jan 5, 2009 1:02 am

Wolves
In- Kaman, Hart
Out- Collins, Telfair, Smith, Miami 1st, Boston 1st

Foye/Hart/Ollie
Carney/McCants -- Brewer
Gomes/Miller
Jefferson/Cardinal/Madsen
Kaman/Love/Booth

Kaman would be a nice fit next to Jefferson. Love could continue to come off the bench with Cardinal (along with Miller and Hart) so the whole teacher student thing can continue. In the draft Curry or Harden would be a great pick. Foye/Curry/Brewer/Miller/Gomes/Jefferson/Love/Kaman would be a nice rotation for next season.

Clippers
In- Collins, Telfair, Smith, Miami 1st, Boston 1st
Out- Kaman, Hart

Davis/Telfair/Taylor
Gordon/Jones/Collins
Thornton/Davis/Novak
Randolph/Smith/Skinner
Camby/Collins/Jordan/Davis

The Clippers get a low post guy in Smith to compliment the jumpshooting Camby and Randolph. They also save some money with Collins contract expiring this year. Gaining more picks will be nice if they want to upgrade Gordon or Thornton.

I think we'd have to give them Mike Miller and a pick, probably the Miami one to get Kaman.
I like the idea though.

You are probably right that it would take Miller+ pick. I tried to go another route because I thought it would be cool to have Miller and Kaman on the team. Both being vets and from the midwest.

Kaman is too injury prone for me.
My Kobe Bryant website I designed myself: http://personal.stthomas.edu/dnnguyen/kb24.

^ that's a concern too

If we get to draft Harden we could offer Foye for him...

Bassy/Collison
Harden/Miller
Miller/Brewer/Gomes
Jefferson/Love
Kaman/Jefferson

I'm not sure I like it myself but it is an idea

I would not give up much for Kaman. The contract and the injury bother me.

Camby is too old, 34, he would be a perfect fit next to AL if he was 10 years younger

I don't like Kaman ;)

Clippers waived Paul Davis and Fred Jones (I'd take either by the way) maybe a trade brewing?

Camby is old, but he's beasting this year, he'd make a hell of a 3 man rotation w/ Love/Jefferson

That could be significant, particularly since Kaman is rather expensive, and might take multiple players in return to match salary.

Might be related to the Camby trade rumors.

You're right. I checked the LAC board and its all about guessing a Camby trade. Camby's also very frustrated with the team right now.

camby is thabeet. Good shotblocker, but actually a bad position man defender.

Camby has offensive tools that Thabeet does not.

I think he was just talking about defense.

I was. Camby out of college was an exceptional athlete. As a pro he has developed a nice high post jumper as well as an above average rebounder. Thabeet simply shares the high block total without the good man/team defense. Big difference in that compared to a Duncan, zo or Mutombo.
