HUUUUGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. With Lance back, we should have a great shot at getting back to the Superbowl as long as Rexy keeps it up.

We all knew all along he wasn't going to sit out for 430,000 a game for 10 games. This is good news, and it leaves the door open for his return next year as they have talked long term even though he can't sign long term.

Good. We could use Briggs for another year to help transition Mike Okwo into his position next year. :)

or Jamar Williams. The way Angelo has drafted, it is almost guaranteed that one of Okwo or J. Williams will make a fine replacement in 2008. Briggs is one and done with the Bears.

yeah, losing briggs this year would have been bad only because his replacements are at least a year away to be good starters. Now, next year, he's gone. Only bad thing is that next year we get nothing for him to go. This year we "could" have traded him to move up far in the draft. Oh well.

Don't think Rosenhaus isn't gonna own us in the Tommie Harris negotiations. They're for sure breaking the bank.

Deal is done. I hope people really appreciate Angelo after the parade of fools that marched through Halas Hall over the last 2 decades.

The Chicago Bears and Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs agreed to a one-year contract Wednesday for the 2007 franchise tender amount, which comes in just over $7 million.

great news!!!!!!!!!!!!

now jamar and okwo wont be thrown into the fire.........williams will be going into 3rd year after the briggs era and okwo his second

okwo may even take over strong-side...i love hunter, but both williams and okwo have much higher ceilings

hunter did sign a long deal and would provide excellent depth if okwo does becomes the man........hunter is middle lb when urlacher doesnt play

great great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, now if we can just lock up tommy with a 6 year, 60m deal heavily front loaded to this year and next (when briggs is gone) and we are in good shape.

You could be right, but Tommy is a guy I'd be willing to break the bank for. He's the anchor.
