He is 6'3, 185. Probably more around 6'2. Bigger guards are just going to run right through him, he cant be left to guard SG's ever. And he isnt exactly Tony Parker-fast so i think he is going to have problems guarding fast guards as well.

Offensively, hes fantastic. Its on the defensive end of the ball that worries me. Especially when we have all been complaining about our Perimeter D lately.

FWIW, that quote was SMills91, he's certainly more of a homer than the average Kinds fan.

I think Curry would be exceedingly lucky to become Kevin Martin. I watched him again the other day and I like the John Starks comparison more now. He's not worth a lotto pick.

Jazz need to step up if we're gonna get that pick this year, though maybe it'd be better to get a less protected pick next year; especially if Boozer walks

He's playing pretty D too. Seems like Ohio State has him playing a PF type role.

Edit: I'm sold on the kid. Very fluid athletically, smart defender, gets to the line in crunch time, smooth mid range game.

Evans + Brewer would help our perimeter defense a lot me thinks. If he fell to our Miami pick, I'd be ecstatic.

I have a feeling MN will play itself out of the bottom of the lotto.

You know, as much as I would like to see the wolves with the top pick in the upcoming draft, I am really liking the improvements made by this team. Draft is good, but a little success, to me, is even better.

I agree. I think developing a winning mentality is worth a ton. Plus the first 3 spots are all luck anyway.

Get a 1st hand look at Harden tomorrow when ASU takes on Cal. I want my Bears to win, but damn I love me some James Harden.

i hope everyone had a chance to watch aldrich take UT to school yesterday..... does anyone else think Sheron Collins looks like the second coming of Timy Hardaway. if he plays up to his full potential he's going to be a good one.

I was going to comment on this after the game because I've been very critical of Aldrich so far this year. He had a monster game yesterday, looked much improved over earlier in the season, and you could see more of his potential. He's still rough in some spots, and I think he benefitted greatly from the play of Collins. Lot of dribble penetration and dump-offs for dunks or easy lay-ins. Rebounding he looked good and the 6 blocks are huge. He played 37 minutes which is great, but to only get to the line twice is a bit of a problem. Many of his points come from, like I mentioned, dump-offs from dribble penetration or his short jumper from behind his head. Not much comes from physical, strong moves to the basket. I hope as the season continues, and he puts more time in the weight room, especially on his upper body and hops, he's able to draw more contact and get to the line more often.

I think he has the tools, frame, and potential to be a very good big man. I hope he keeps working to get there.

Collins looked phenomenal yesterday. Very impressed with the entire team even after they lost their 5 starters from last year.

Watched Harden today against Cal. He had a really bad shooting night. He wasnt finishing his layups like i have seen in the past, but he did finish a few drives with authority. He is a good rebounder but i think his numbers are inflated for playing a good amount of the game at the 3. Smart player, good passer.

I wasnt blown away, but i know he is better than he was today, i expect him to bounce back soon.

I'm going to say it now, and I know we're just entering conference play for most teams, but I think Stephen Curry turns out to be Adam Morrison in the NBA. He'll be too weak, and with being so small, his quickness won' t be enough to get his shot off like Rip Hamilton.

I'm reserving the right to change my mind after the Duke game on Wednesday, and change it again after he's played 3 years in the NBA. :-)

probably depends on whether or not he can play PG, if he can't, then I don't see how he can possibly start. If he can play PG, then he should have some value. Wednesday they're at Duke, that's his only real test of the regular season against major competition. Pretty big game, if he doesn't do well, then nobody will take him seriously unless he blows up in the tourny and carries his team far.

His best bet is to get on a team with a strong ball handling 2/3 (*like lebron) Where he can play the 1 and shoot. He has a lot of heart, but genetics will be an issue.

Completely agree. Kobe, Roy, Wade, Joe Johnson come to mind as well.

Which leads me to another point, Joe Johnson needs a nickname. J^2?
