Its Denver that is why.

A guy can do what he wants, but when do these athletes start showing some responsibility? I don’t care who you are, if you have had a few, don’t get behind the wheel you moron. To many stupid people out their who think they are fine after drinking.

He should be discipline, but not traded I think. At some jobs, you would lose your job over a DUI. Alcohol impairs your decision making, from one to ten beers or more. The more you have, the worse off you are.

He is just lucky that he did not cause an accident. Screw a trade if he killed someone, the guy should lose everything and go to jail if he killed someone.

--- Like most things, if you don't have all the facts its not possible to make a judgment. There's no excuse for driving drunk, but I've seen otherwise decent responsible people decide they were okay to drive and then get popped in a roadcheck.
Does Richardson have anything else in his past that suggest this is more than a one-time stupidity? If not, do some community service ads and move on.
Now, if he took a gun on a plane ....

I am with Tastic, lets move on from this one. We don't the circumstances involved, nor is it any of our business.

And to answer the question about .08 or above; I am walking, talking proof that you can get a DUI if you are under .08: I got popped at .078 about 7 years ago in Phoenix. And I was stopped randomly after leaving a bar by a member of the DUI squad, not for any driving infraction

Good Luck to JRich; The reservation can try a non Native in their own courts or refer the defendant to federal court. The minimum sentence in federal court for a first time DUI is a minimum 1 year in jail. Let's hope he was nice to the officer. I am sure if Shaq picked him up, it made for good PR with the officers.
