What We Learned Today...

Post#1 » by Quincy8Douby » Wed Jan 7, 2009 5:00 am

"A lot happened today in the world of college hoops and I am going to attempt to summarize it for you because this could all be important information come March. We normally don’t see such a fantastic slate of games on a Tuesday, but wow today was something worth remembering. Enough with the rambling though, let me try to recall everything…

-Dayton wins again, improving their record to 14-1 and 10-0 at home. This team (with the exception of a loss at Creighton) has done everything right and has won their key games over Marquette, Auburn, George Mason, and now Miami (OH).

-Dayton’s win means Miami (OH) lost. This team, which was once a serious cinderella contender has gone rapidly downhill since the loss of starting PG Kenny Hayes, who is undergoing wrist surgery. The Redhawks, now at 7-5, have some serious catching up to do in conference play.

-UConn came up with a huge win today at #25 West Virginia, and showed why the deserve to be in the top 25. There is no doubt that the Huskies are one of the premier teams in the country, and they have come back strong since that home loss to Georgetown, with a 31 point win over Rutgers and now this."
