ford on miller trade

Post#1 » by cedric76 » Wed Jan 7, 2009 12:01 am

Chad Ford: Yeah, there's interest. One thing I've heard some rumblings about was a deal that would send Miller and Salmons to the Knicks for Curry, Jared Jeffries and David Lee. The plus for the Knicks would be that it would give them some serious cap space in 2010. Obviously Lee would be the attraction for the Kings. He'd be good paired on the front line with Spencer Hawes.

I love David Lee. But not at the cost of Curry and Jeffrie's contract, not to mention losing Salmons.

Exactly right

Haha, that ain't gonna happen. Not a bad swap talent wise though. Curry is still a very talented player despite what people seem to believe.

I will pass on all the above

david lee
jared jeffries &
eddy curry

we dont need any of them lee is the best target but having thompson & hawes even though both have room to grow i now see lee as not needed that much as opposed to last year were i could easily see petrie going after him !

Kings counter with Quincy Douby, Shelden Williams and a 2nd round pick for David Lee & cap filler

How can anyone even possibly think about this trade for a second?

Lee basically breaks down to, either a) we resign him, likely 8-10 mil or b) he is an expiring (so why take on Curry's contract).

Ultimately, between Lee/Thompson/Hawes/Curry you will be looking at around 40-45 mil. Not that great.

NY media has everyone interested in Curry. perhaps it is all wishful thinking.

A couple of weeks ago they had Charlotte about to acquire him
