Why do people want to get ride of DSong? The guy is a warrior, has a sweet shot, he is mature, he passes well, he rebounds, and he seems like a solid teammate. 4,526,000 isn't to much for a guy like that. Specially if he can add some range.

I don't even really hate on Etan but his 7,350,000 is to much for him. I'd pay 3-4 gladly.

He rebounds, really? This will come as quite a shock to the official scorers of the Wizards' first 34 games. If he can add some range, he'd be shooting 3s which if he could make would be a darn sight better than 22 foot 2 point jumpers. On another team I'm sure DSong could play a solid 10-12 minute role.

I wont argue if you don't agree. I think he is a solid player that does the things I said plus he is tough, keeps the ball in play, has a high BB IQ, he cuts, passes, etc.

Hell, he was manning up to D Howard and doing a solid job until he was hit in the throat.

I would get ride of several other players before I got around to DSong. He is a solid role player

He also happens to be our best shooter at .530 and those numbers aren't inflated because he is dunking the ball. :)

One a team full of young players and knuckheads, you want players like DSong to lead the way.

i am all for winning games, but not at the expense of taking a serious hit in the lottery when you know your team doesnt stand a chance to get into the playoffs and even if it does , itll get destroyed by the competition. after the lotto for the top 5 picks, it basically becomes an order of worst team by record. Two or three extra wins literally can mean the difference between getting a potential superstar at the 6th pick or having to pick 10th or lower. Its too much of a sacrifice, play the young guys, develop them, but keep in mind chosing 6th or chosing 10th or lower is only a matter of a few games in the W-L column.

7-1 or 5-3??? What are you guys smoking?

I say 1-7, if we're lucky.

I don't want to jinx anything, but I didn't want this thread to get buried.

How did I miss this thread? Were you all doing a puff puff pass when this was created. Seriously, 8 in a row. You guys should lock this, I feel embarrassed for the board.

I think someone forgot that the Wiz are also a sub-500 team, and for a reason.

Funny thing is, some of the people who thought the Wizards could go 8 in the row accused other people of being clueless.

I don't recall anyone saying that.

And the prediction that we could have gone on a run isn't far fetched at all.

We were playing dame well against some of the best teams in the league and then the schedule got a lot easier.

After the first 2 games were lost, there was no point in really trying to win anymore.

The margin of error to go for it was really small to start with. At this point, i wouldn't make any predictions for any wins. If they are officially now tanking, then Tapps will have to fall on the sword a few times to make that happen.

He has to coach up the younger players so they get better but if they start to get to good, he has to blow the line ups or get AJ or CB to fall on the sword.

So basically we want all our younger players and tradeable players to look good but our vets who we are going to keep to make sure we don't win and the coach needs to do the same.

Interesting position to be in.

So in a sense, Tapps should be judged on how well he give these players instruction and minutes to do the above will still keeping moral high and the team loosing. Losses are wins for Tapps.

We need to win a few games here and there. We can't go on 0-8 runs. But 0-4 runs are ok.

We need Sac and Indy to win some games so we have room to win some game. We are currently on 1/2 behind SAC for the #2 spot. We could easily slide to #5 with just a few wins. We need to be careful.

OK, I'd like to revise my previous post. I said 1-7.

I'm going out on a limb and say 0-8.

No coach. No GM. No leadership. No hope.

It's funny but this is reminiscent of the "let's get greedy" statement that led to a losing streak. Maybe predicting wins is the key to losing? I know...deep, isn't it?
