That EXCELLENT NEWS. No more Tim Redding killing us anymore hopefully. I have no problem with guys like Redding and Wolf, there solid veterans that you know what your getting. However Id still love to take a chance on a Sheets, Smoltz etc.

Certainly more upside with Sheets or Smoltz IF they're healthy. I don't think I can go into another September with our season on the line and one or both of those two pitchers can't pitch because of various injuries and sore shoulders. I'd be up for signing a Sheets or Smoltz to some kind of low level guaranteed contract with incentives and options for a better deal. But our top of the rotation starter, Lowe?, has to be someone with a solid health chart who we can count on in the playoffs. No more El Duques or Pedros.
