WTF? Braves to hold January autograph session

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Fri Jan 9, 2009 3:51 am

This event use to be free FOR THE FANS. It's slowly changed from free, to a $10 donation, and now I feel the ownership is really stretching it. I can't remember what the Georgia World Congress Center mess cost last year. I understand it's for the Braves Foundation, but still, I just feel these cost aren't necessary.

My rant stops now.

The Braves will hold an AutographFest on Saturday, Jan. 24 at Turner Field from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Players in attendance include Brian McCaan, Jeff Francoeur, Tim Hudson and Javier Vasquez.

A limited number of passes will be presold for each player. They are available online at http://www.braves.com/autographfest or by calling 404-614-1512. Three level of passes are available ranging from contributions of $20-100 that guarantee fans the chance to meet players and get autographs.

Proceeds, which are tax deductible, will benefit the Atlanta Braves Foundation, which provides financial support to local non-profit organizations.

The Braves will also a free open house on Saturday, March 28. It will feature alumni autograph sessions, autographed item giveaways, tours of the stadium and Braves Museum and Hall of Fame.
