if you're talking about Mullins, i can only assume that you didn't watch the Mich St. game. he actually got minutes and when got his hands on the ball he looked very effective. all i'm saying is he might be one to keep an eye on.

you guess he's pretty ineffective?

Mullins has shown flashes (just like DeRozan, although less often), but he's still a project (just like DeRozan).

If Mullens is there at any pick past our first one, he's definitely worth a look. With the dearth of 7 footers in this draft, though, his stock could skyrocket if he earns more playing time, though.

If the Celtics keep playing the way they are, we'll have another lottery pick!

Here's who I'm liking as of today:
With our pick
Top 5:
Rubio
Harden
Holiday (probably borderline top 5) - assuming he can play the point
Top 10:
Thabeet (I know, I know, but if a 7'3" athletic, shot blocking C is on the board...)
Clark (would provide nice perimeter D at SF)
Lawson (wish he was taller)

Miami pick
Derozan
Jennings
Collison (could be a great fit for our team)
Mills
Mullens

I guess I'll be jumping on the Holiday bandwagon as I'm not sure the Timberwolves will end up with a high enough pick to draft Harden.

I'm really not liking this draft :-?

The guy I'd like the Wolves to pick up late in the first round in Marquette combo guard Jerel McNeal. Dominic James used to get most of the hype, but by mid-season last year it was obvious who was most responsible for the success of that team. He used to be a poor outside shooter and out of control as a ballhandler, but has improved bit by bit over the course of his career to the point where these gaping holes anymore.

The guy is tough as nails and probably has more of a transition offensively than many prospects, but his lock down defense and physicality will get him on the court until he figures things out.

Right now he's under the radar (hard to believe after last year's tournament heroics), but that will change in the high-profile big east.

Physically/positionally he probably overlaps a bit with Foye (not skills wise though), but with the absurd number of picks the wolves have this year they will (or should) end up taking a couple of BPA types...

wow, I just checked his ESPN profile...McNeal is shooting over 46% from 3...considering he shot under 30% from 3 as a freshman, that's REALLY impressive, I think I may have to watch more of this guy.

I like this draft. I think we just need to do more hmwk. we need a major quantity for quality move.

top 5
rubio (not coming)
harden
holiday
trade (quality)

mid-rd
jordan..jordan..jordan
trade

I do not need roster spots on avg talent. package some things for another starter. or tempt atlanta.

Yeah rep, it will be awesome taking a guy who would have gone #20 last year with our #5 pick this year. Gotta love this draft...

Honestly, I think our best options in this draft are to just take BPA, because unfortunately this draft is filled with a number of guys that have high potential but haven't quite shown enough yet. My dream draft consists of taking Jrue Holiday with our pick, Derozan with the Miami pick, and maybe moving up with the Boston pick (possible trade of Pekovic?) and grabbing a Cole Ardrich/Jerome Jordan type.

$10 says we take Hansbrough with Miami's pick. Not that I want to, but I'm just saying...

I'll take that bet and double it and say we draft Harden/Holiday and trade for Tyler H with our own pick.

Monopoly money of course.

With the Wolves winning so much lately, perhaps we need to focus on some of the later projected prospects.

Right now if the lottery played true, we'd have have the 7th pick. Griffin, Harden, Holiday, Thabeet, and Rubio (if he declares) would likely all be gone. We'd also have the 17th (Miami) and 28th (Boston)

Perhaps we could package 17 and 28 and move into the late lottery again, say 12..

In this range, we could take some shots at guys with the most upside: (1 big, 1 wing perhaps?)

Aldrich/Mullins and Evans/Turner/DeRozan/Aminu/Clark/Smith?

Maybe the emergence of Monroe will cause someone like Holiday to slip to us?

Perhaps this is the best year to get out of the top ten and pay what we owe to the Clippers?

I thought about this too. Especially with potentially 3 other picks. No matter what though, unless we win the lotto and end up in the top 3, i would be semi-upset if we didnt come away with Holiday at least. I dont think we need a wing as much as we need a running mate for Foye.

Now if we think that a running mate for Foye WOULD be a wing than thats something else, but if he is our 2 going forward, then i would hope we could draft a good young PG with size, defensive skills and great court vision, and i think Holiday can be that guy.
