You can't really fault the Panthers, they likely didn't think the Cards would even bother to take the field with all the press leading up to this game.

After the first two drives (one for each team), I thought Carolina had. Even when Arizona was in the red zone at 7-7, I thought they'd kick a FG and then Carolina would retaliate with a TD. At that point, I was mad that the Panthers would only be up 14-10! Amazing how things turn out.

Icness, very good point on the Cardinals defence. They'll figure prominently in the article I'm writing tomorrow.

I still don't. The game that Carolina played may have been one of the three worst performances by an NFL team this year, and that includes Detroit. No offensive line pressure. No blocking. Poor decisions from the QB. An inexcusable tip that led to an interception. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong.

I still believe that the Cardinals will be blown out by whoever they play. I just have to wait a little longer now.

I would have yanked Jake for McCown after #4. I also would have kept running the ball early in the 2nd half--it was working and the defense needed the blow.

Loads of credit to the Cards defense in the playoffs. They are shooting gaps real well up front and their film work has been simply outstanding. They see the formation, they see the initial action and they have an aggressive plan of counter action, and they are executing it. That DRC INT near the end zone is a good example--he normally would have crept shallower, but he correctly read that Delhomme wouldn't go to the short route, thinking DRC would get up there and jump it. Delhomme makes the deeper throw and there's a defender where he hasn't seen one on film before. That's some darn fine coaching by Whizz, Clancy et al.

I will say the Cards have been as well prepared as a team can be in these two playoff games. Real impressive.

Love it...The most of the media is against the Cards and that's just causing them to player harder.

Let's see so far the media has said...

-Against the Falcons, Cards are the worse team ever to make the postseason and the Falcons will blow them out.

-Against the Panthers, Cards got lucky, they're going to be one and done and the Panthers will blow them out.

Prediction

-Against the Giants or Eagles, Cards got lucky because of the Panthers bad performance no wonder they lost or if they win it will be, Giants or Eagles played a bad game.

-If they make it to the superbowl and lose, the media will just say it's about time they never deserved to make it this far if they win the media will just say the teams they played had bad games and the Cards are a one hit wonder and going to be a lottery team next season.

Basically damned if they do or damned if they don't, most Cards fans don't care though because that's what drives them to compete harder. Don't get why so many people are against the Cards I mean why wouldn't anyone want to see them win? Unless your a Falcons or Panthers fan I can understand but Kurt Warner is one of the classiest guys in pro sports, and it would be a great story line if the underdog can come in and win.

I expected them to beat the Falcons, mainly because it was in AZ and the Falcons defense is devoid of playmakers. But I would have made Carolina my #1 confidence pick this weekend.

The Falcons defense wasn't even the problem. The OL deciding they were going to play like complete scrubs was the problem on top of a few mistakes by Ryan.

I'm really hoping the cards can make the Super Bowl. Just improves the Pats pick. But seriously to all Cards fans congrats. It must be nice to hear everybody write your team off, only for them to come out and play some great football.
