There were Matt Birk sightings in GB the last couple offseasons. Wells could move to guard, colledge to one of the tackles. Draft another tackle during the first day of the draft and we're in a little better shape on the offensive line.

Do it. If we only signed and drafted O-line and D-line players I would be happy. Well maybe a linebacker or two wouldn't be bad

Birk's ability is starting to fall off. I'd be worried that we'd throw Wahle-like dollars at the guy and get Wahle-like production (as in little-to-none).

IF Wells was anything more than a mediocre C we would not be interested in Birk. Wells and his short arms would suck even worse as a G.

Don't really want Birk. To maximize players we have - C is best position for Spitz.

I agree with most of what you said, pretty much all of it, but OT's need to be drafted because they get a fortune in free agency, I heard on the NFL network today that Gross of Caroline will get in the neighborhood of 10-11 Million and be the highest paid tackle in all of football, that is a lot for him. I wouldn't mind a vet guard or an older vet back-up tackle type.

I will pass. Center is the least of our problems on this offensive line and signing Matt Birk isn't going to turn it around. We should move Spitz there (it's his best position) and then focus on adding starters at the guard and tackle positions, where we're going to need to add at least one starter at each spot.
