Dear Rajon: Please Don't Lift Weights on Game Days

Post#1 » by Jammer » Sun Jan 11, 2009 8:21 pm

Dear Rajon Rondo:

I read in the Boston Globe that you were proud that you lifted weights
the morning of the Cleveland game.

I couldn't shoot for sh*t when I lifted,
no snap from 3 or (anything outside 8 feet.)

Two days off from heavy lifting always seemed to help my shooting.

Give it a try.

PS: I picked up a basketball for the first time in 5th grade,
for my elementary school's free throw shooting contest.
Made 6 straight free throws to win in front of a gym full of people.
Shooting always came easy to me, though.

This is the NBA, not the YMCA. He's in shape and I'm pretty sure he knows what he's doing.

This premise is a bit of a head scratcher Jammer... I shoot better when I'm high, but I'm not going send Rondo a bong or anything.

You only think you shoot better because if you miss, you don't give a crap. You just laugh it off

No way bro, I'm a perfectionist, if I don't hit at least 1 in 5 shots I get pretty down on myself, herb or no.. ;)

They have studied this kind of thing - weights actually dont' have a huge negative effect for most people..
