OUTSIDER viewpoint AKA no homerism (in response to the OP):
1) Boston
2) Magic
3) Cavs (they could be 2, but the Magic have been playing incredibly lately)
4) Detroit
5) Atlanta
6) Philadelphia
7) New Jersey
8) Miami

I was looking at what the playoffs would look like if the season were to end today and I completely agree with you, and as much faith I have in this Celtic team, I really hope we finish in the top 2 at least just to avoid having to play a Heat team. I'd much rather see a Bucks or even Nets team. Huuuge difference being a 2 rather than a 3 seed this year IMO.

If Boston has home court in 7 games, they beat Cleveland. If Cleveland has home court, id say its 50/50. Therefore, I think Boston is better when they play aggressive for 40+ monutes.

1. Boston
2. Cleveland
3. Orlando (Orlando has nobody that can come close to defending Lebron)
4. ATL
5. Detroit
6. Miami
7. NJ
8. Mil (they actually have a pretty decent starting 5 in Ridnour, Redd, Jefferson, Charlie V, and Bogut)

If the standings hold up, I don't think we can beat the Cavs without HCA. They haven't lost at home all year! But I think we can beat the rest of the East.

The answer is No. There is no one that can defend Lebron in the league. As much as I hate to say this, I think they are going to win it this year.

for rating purpose in the finals im sure the fans across the world would love to see a laker vs celtic match up again. but i really do think that it would be

new orleans hornets vs orlando magic in nba finals.

now i might be a homer cause i love the magic. but i have been a season ticket holder since dwight came in orlando and i have never seen such a great team working together. so i say it will be a hornets vs lakers in western conference finals with hornets winning the series. and celtic vs magic eastern conference final with the magic winning in 7.

this is the year of the magic. just watch
