I am not unhappy about losing Sessions. At the end of last year he looked great. The fact that he has not shown much this year I think is related to the fact that we have a new coach and different system and Sessions does not fit in it. I am willing to bet that if he goes to Memphis he will do well there. I just wish we could have gotten a better deal than Conley. We are getting smaller if this trade goes through.

And I agree with MD. What does Herbie know about basketball? Better off if he trust the people he hires. Otherwise one of us could do the job. :D

TJ Ford looked great in college.

No kidding. I absolutely HATE when people talk about college as a measuring stick. The NBA game is completely different, it's not even close.

If you could clearly judge a player from college, Bogut would be UNSTOPPABLE.

I hate this deal and if we do this I don't know what to think of Hammond

Just no foresight whatsoever lasts year at draft time, especially when you read reports that Hammond and company love Ersan.
Ersan is playing so well that it might cost us to get him back here.

Yeah that's what I was hitting at, the savings, which I figured to be a big driving point of the deal initially, would be completely negated if an effort to bring Ersan back here is successful.

I suspect Kohl will have the approval from his inner circle pretty soon. Ron Walter is probably bursting with with joy - "I can't believe this kid shoots the ball so well with his left hand!"

Bingo. I don't get the sense Skiles is a big Sessions fan. He must see Conley as better able to work within his system, and then the contractual issues make it an attractive deal all around.

Two players! Two players the Bucks absolutely, positively had to stay away from in the '07 draft. Conley and Corey Brewer. They dodged a bullet when both were gone before they picked. PLEASE don't screw it up and acquire one of them. PLEASE! Especially when Sessions is as good or better than Conley and from the looks of things, it will always be that way.

And what's up with saying Conley is a good defender? If he was, he'd be starting over Lowry, I'd imagine. I don't think even the Memphis fans believe he's a good defender. Maybe on the Bucks he'd be considered good, for in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Anyways, like I mentioned in the previous thread, I'm only on board if we get a top 10 pick back, breaking down the trade in this manner:

Sessions for Conley
Alexander for a top ten pick.

Actually for the fans that were here pre-draft, I said back then that I thought Bogut would be solid but not a franchise player type of guy..I thought Conley (pre-draft) would be pretty special on this level. He hasn't shown it yet but I am hoping he might show more here.

Well it is somewhat of a measuring stick. What else are the scouts supposed to look at? If you dominate at the college level you must be pretty good. It just gets tricky when a guy plays only one year with the top big guy in the country. :D

Amazing.

Well, if you need some help getting excited about this, check Conley's April stats last year. He was a really efficient PG.

I also give Hammond a ton of credit for realizing it was a bad move with Alexander. I'll give him a mulligan there.
Well, of course.

That is two straight lottery picks we messed up on if not 3 because we took a risk in picking TJ Ford with a bad spine!!!

That is what makes teams either incomeptant and sets us back at least a decade, or can make you very good in a hurry. Ask Atlanta, New Orleans and Portland!

Pretty soon ask Minnesota, and Oklahoma City and Memphis!

Twice we could have moved down in the lottery to get Al Horford or moved back and took the 76ers rumored deal.

This draft you could have moved up and took an OJ Mayo or moved Redd and the #8 for Michael Beasley and Chalmers...for example.

I liked Eric Gordon or some other young star. You could have packaged Mo Williams and the #8th pick for something other then what we got if you wanted to trade him later on for the garbage we got for him!

For all you Mo Williams haters and Sessions fanatics It is no accident Mo Williams is on the best team in the NBA is it???

Picking Alexander was foolish. I would have taken Lopez or someone else. Ersan Ilyasova is Alexander.
I am too glad they realize their mistakes. I am not saying Joe Alexander and Ramon Sessions are bad players...they just are not DIFFERENCE MAKERS!

That is what the Bucks need now. Look at Oklahoma City...three difference makers are on that squad in their last 3 drafts! Kevin Durant and Jeff Green and Russell Westbrooks!

That is how you get it done people! lot of coaches and GM's do not like rookies and whatnot and do not think they can get you to the playoffs. Lets not fool oursleves...this is not a playoff team if every team plays like they are supposed to.

Time to start over!

This deal works in the checker and the one I'd like to see done.

It saves Memphis money so I could see them being interested

What else are you going to look at? How about his first 2 years in the NBA? We're not talking about trading rookies here....we've seen things from Sessions we all like. If Hammond makes this trade, it's basically saying "I made a mistake" with drafting Alexander.

I know where you are going on having more players involved but it seems like that won't happen. I think the Memphis poster sent us in the right direction. This will probably be the Lakers 2010 pick they got as part of the Gasol trade.

Substitute Gadz for DJ/Elson works for me.

It could also be saying he and/or Skiles don't believe Sessions is the right fit for this team as its PG of the future.

If Hammond makes this trade too me it says.. "I love Luc Richard Mbah a Moute" and he's playing so well for us that I am no longer willing to wait for Joe Alexander to live up to his potential."

Can we take that pick right away and package it with CV?

Perhaps that could get us the frontcourt help we so desperately need

I'd rather have the Grizzlies 2010 2nd than the Lakers 2010 first. They will be less than 10 picks apart probably, and the 2nd rounder wouldn't be guaranteed money.
