At the age of 75 Bill Walsh passes away, he built up our franchise and is the main reason why the 49ers franchise is one of the strongest in the NFL

RIP Bill

The GREATEST COACH OF ALL TIME IN MY OPINION!
I grew up watching Montana, Rice, Craig, Ronnie Lott, etc.
He turned them (the 49ers) around! It was because of that team he put together that got me interested in watching football period.
He'll surely be missed, as teacher of the game, and a person.

He was one of the best coaches in the NFL and the creator of the west coach offense. Walsh created the game of short passes and moving the ball down the field and his methods are still used today by numerous teams.

Very sad news. I have fond memories growing up watching the Walsh-led Niner dynasty of the '80s. Yet another childhood hero has slipped away.

RIP Bill.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.
