Expressive/Intense
Finishes at the basket well
Excels in fast break

Bad:

Slightly undersized
Slightly below Average defensive player

I used to think this guy would go back to the inactive list with Luther Head once Tmac/battier/barry/Artest are fully healthy.

No more, i'm now firmly a Von Wafer Believer.

Wish he could get a rebound or assist ;) Dude's still awesome though, especially for $800k.

He's great until he has a bad game, does something stupid late, or something else that costs the Rockets. Then it'll be all " why is adelman playing wafer!?!?!?!?!?".

Honestly though, I like the guy. The Rockets desperately need athleticism, and this kid has it.

I see the exact opposite...

Ariza cannot shoot(ignore this past game)
Wafer is a shooter

Wafer cannot defend
Ariza is a defender

Rafer is a bad shooter (inconsistent) but hoists up tons of shots. Wafer is a good shooter and doesn't take nearly enough shots.

As bad as Barry is shooting so far, I'd still trust the ball in his hands for a game winning open 3 pointer, much like Novak. Good shooters are good shooters. My only knock on rafer is that he shoots (shot-attempt wise) like a good shooter. I only hope wafer gets a lil more confidence and shoots a little bit more b/c we all see what Yao can do when teams don't/can't double down on him for fear of the shooters on the wings. Let's get barry/shane healthy, even Ron is dependable when he's set on the 3 pt line, and see what Yao can really do.

Im not surprised at all with Wafer, impressed? YES. Because anybody who saw him play in preseason at least that Memphis game where he took over, should know by then that the kid has game and I said that no because he made 7 3s but in the way he did it and the look in his expresion. You dont need to be an scout to know.

Well, I tell you now and you can write it down on a rock, Wafer will do for was what we expected Head to do that never did, no because he doesnt have the skill but because he is afraid, Wafer is not afraid at all and you are going to enjoy this year a lot of big time shots.

The only person who doesn't appreciate Wafer in HOU is Luther Head.

Thanks, guys, for the recognition.

Yes, it's true. I AM Von Wafer. I've been posting on this board for a while, and I've just been dying to have my own appreciation thread. The rest of us players have an office pool to see who is going to be the last guy to have his own appreciation thread. My pick was Steve Francis, but he's gone now. I guess I lose.

I hope to continue performing at this level for the foreseeable future, and I'd really appreciate your write-in vote for the All-Star Game.

[Despite our often misguided thoughts to the contrary, NBA players probably don't spend their free time reading trash on a message board. A thread entitled "I Like Pasta" probably has as much value as this one.]

Well, he's still telling people to post things at chris-bosh.com, not in a RealGm thread.

So... um.... BESIDES Chris Bosh, blah blah blah. What I said before.

It is obviously more easier to read, so he can skip the bs... His knowning the website around doesn't necessarily mean he gets on, but I can guarantee he has read things on here more than once.
