I'm glad your cat found a warm home and eventually made a return. I know how terrible the feeling can be for a cat owner when you see a door ajar.

God, and the door is ALWAYS ajar at your house. I remember the one time I was searching through the woods for Sajak, only for him to appear from inside some closet.

Heh, thanks! We collectively decided Yasser Aracat would be too controversial, so the game show host got the tribute.

In pre-OT thread days, I'd mention that I picked him up on the same day we drafted Emeka, thus making it bobcat relevant (and/or mention that he looks like a puma). Loving the new thread, no longer necessary to think of excuses to post about my cat!!

My friend just named his new kitten cat face meowmers....

I grew up with dogs as well and I was always allergic to cats. My sister got one when she got married though and I realized my allergies had died down. So I decided I'd look for a cat since I didn't want to take care of another dog.

Well I got lucky. I was on my way to hang out over at my friends place and when I got to the top floor of his apartment building, I heard meowing off in the distance. The cat sounded really scared and it was coming from the roof. I had to climb up over the railing and on top of the apartments but I eventually found a nice little orange tabby up there. Brought him down looked for an owner and found out he'd been kicked out about 2 weeks ago and has been living on his own. He's been mine ever since. The vet estimated he was about 1 1/2 years old. Had him neutered, declawed and I was good to go. Named him Bailey and he's been the best pet I've ever had. Follows me everywhere I go and is frackn (Please Use More Appropriate Word), always doing crazy stuff. Every day when I get home he has to come over and kneed on me. Sounds kind of funny but I love it.

Cats: They kneed you. Hyuck yuck yuck!

Cool story Chabber. Also, I was surprised to read in the gtkyfbf thread that Chabber was an old school nickname based on your actual name. I always thought it was for CHArlotte BasketBallER :D :D

Yes, he kneeds me alright.

I've actually looked it up to make sure it's not some kind of weird sexual cat thing because he looks like he's in a trance or high out of his mind when he's doing it and gets ornery if I come in and don't chill with him right away.

I never really looked at my name that way but being that this is a basketball board that makes total sense. Great guess, but yeah, old school nickname that has stuck around even through different groups of friends. I never tell anyone to call me that but it just ends up happening. Even my parents call me chabber sometimes and it sounds funny to me coming from them.

Pulp Fiction:

Hated it the 1st time I saw it. Thought it was filled with needless violence and swearing - but then the more I watched it, the more I liked it. By the 4th or 5th viewing, I was hooked. The monologues in it are outstanding, as are the way they are presented.

I used to be a massive film watcher - but that was before NBA league pass and kids!!

The hunger for needless violence and swearing will increase the closer you move to the USA.

The dialog is sooooo good! Sequencing too! and that briefcase--SO MYSTERIOUS!

Slam, re: pm--
pp 1: It would be a lie to say this is an insignificant development. Also, well said.
pp 2: Sounds stupid, but the OT board has been enough to make me feel up to more general posting. Like I mentioned in the gtkyfbf thread, I really felt like I had run out of ways to analyze what is wrong/good with our team/players and that when the wheels keep spinning like that and there are no other discussions going on (especially more light hearted ones) it becomes too easy to fall into/place posters into roles and just wait for the arguments to begin. This is what I lived for at first, but 3 seasons in and the patterns that appear were painfully obvious. I had hoped for a new gtkyfbf thread for awhile, but felt it needed to be created by a mod so it had, idk, proper endorsement(?). Anyway, even when I wasn't actively posting I was still lurking dailyish, but that was becoming more of a "skim for a glimmer" type of thing. Definitely feel rejuvenated over the past couple of days.

Nothing yet, but feel free to use the bobcatsrgm@yahoo.com.au e-mail address we set up if you need to contact myself or Fats.

Back on off topic........

Better scene (dialogue only): Opening scene of Reservoir Dogs talking about tipping or Pulp Fiction scene talking about foot massages?

+ the analysis of like a virgin!!

band-aid: from imdb: "...actor Ving Rhames had a scar on the back of his neck he wanted to cover up."
Not very exciting. However, there are theories that in some ancient mythology/religion the soul is extracted from the back of the head and this ties into the briefcase which along that line of thinking holds Marcellus' soul. Marcellus supposedly "sold his soul to the devil" and sent Vince and Jules to retrieve it, which explains why it glows, why Vincent says it's beautiful, etc. This also can add to Jules eventual retirement due to divine intervention and the downfall of Mr. Vega (getting canned on the...can.)

I'll reply to that e-mail when I get pms then instead of airing any potential dirty laundry on the interwebs :D

Am I alone in disliking the most of the rest of Tarantino's movies? Jackie Brown was good, and the first Kill Bill too. The rest were kind of bad...

I read a really great essay what must've been a decade ago and have never been able to find it since. It theorized that many of the characters represented biblical/mythological figures, but I can't really explain them in depth since I don't remember the arguments.
Butch=Archangel of Death (Gabriel? A bible thumper I am not)
Lance=Jesus--obviously looks like him, resurrects Mia, Vincent comes to him to feel euphoric
and... that's pretty much all I can remember.

Your team had one bad playoff game, BOOO-F***ING-HOO!

hey hey now...we know pain...who record do you think the lions broke when they lost 16 straight games in the regular season....yes sir the 01 panthers...won the first game and lost every game after that to go 1-15

That 01 season was the worst. I just know that Panthers fans like me got a taste of the 2003 super bowl and damn it I wanted more! Sorry, I am still pissed off almost a week later.
