THE OFFICIAL Nets Championship Watch
I know there are a lot of Nets fans on RealGM, so I thought I'd create an OFFICIAL thread to monitor their progress in their quest for the championship. (I personally have become a Nets fan after reading all of the classy posts by NetsForce).
Date: Tuesday, January 14th 2009
Note: The Nets sit at 19-19 having won their last game; 7th place in the east. They play the defending champion Celtics today. It looks like a move to Brooklyn might be more likely than a championship at this point in the season.

Quote taken completely out of context designed to make someone look stupid.

ibtl.
Nets are Lebron-ready by 2010 with a good young core of Devin+Lopez+Yi with a veteran SG in VC.

Sure, he has unusual crush for Josh Boone and Brook Lopez.

Can't wait till the 2011 finals, LBJ will be the first Net since Kidd to lead this team to the finals.

Re: THE OFFICIAL Nets Championship Watch
Really now guys, Lebron isnt happening forget about it Rathner will keep us at the Izod center until 2011 at least.
A second tier FA is a possibility though, our ability to attract FA's will fall soley on how well this rebuilding movement goes (and so far its going extremley well with Devin,Lopez and sometimes Yi).
Carmelo Anthony on the other hand.............is a possibility.
Think about it every team is gonna spend every penny of its cap space in 2010 on one of those great FA why not keep some of it and sign the poor man's Lebron who becomes a FA a year later.
Bleah look at me posting in a topic that actually talks about us winning a championship anytime soon.

The way things look right now, the Nets have to make sure that they don't get homecourt advantage if they get to the playoffs.

He's not a Nets fan, he's a Portland fan trying to "get back" at me for the Official Darius Miles watch. This thread is a couple years early though...

Any basketball fan can look at our recent success and find good in it. However, any basketball fan can realize this team is not a contender.
