lol...I have a funny feeling that POR is not so willing to trade with the Grizzlies just now 8-)

But I am highly inclined to think that MEM might be willing to entertain that trade. Bayless is a dynamite scorer, and Lord knows we need more of those on the Grizzlies.

I dunno why you wouldn't want Conley.

With Conley it puts us at
Conley/Martin/Greene/Thompson/Hawes
which means this year in the draft, we can solely draft on BPA.
Meaning, we could go PG (Rubio, Holiday, Jennings) SG (Harden, DeRozen) SF (Aminu, James, Clark) PF (Griffin, Hill, Monroe) C (Thabeet)
It gives us plenty of options.

Because to be honest, Conley Jr. is a lot like Beno. Except Beno is a better shooter so he may be a better fit for us. I just don't think having an exclusively slashing PG is best for our style. We are going to most likely need to find some major offensive production at the point moving forward. Maybe not "major production", but we at least need a legit perimeter threat. I just don't see Conley as a long term solution. Value wise I'm OK with it, but I think if we are looking for a prospect, I'd rather one with more attainable upside that also fits a stylistic need. Bayless is the type of player we could use. His problem is his lack of PG skills, but that may not be so bad for us.

Hahaha, Chris Wallace should offer Miles and Conley for Bayless.

I do like the Conley for Salmons idea from the Grizzlies point of view but first there needs to be an evaluation of OJ Mayo playing the point for them, which hasn't happened so far. But if Mayo started playing pointguard like he did in college then inserting Salmons at shooting guard between Mayo and Gay would work.

Tha salary difference doesn't matter since Memphis is under the cap by alot.

Oh I guarantee you that there are deals where the Grizz consider adding Beno to their roster....that's why I think if Beno goes to Memphis(which I think is possible) then Jaric would go to the Kings. Sure Beno has one extra year, but Jaric gets paid significantly more right now and is absolutely WORTHLESS. Might as well pay out one extra year to get a productive player.

I think the basis of a trade I see happening is:

Beno/Shelden for Conley/Jaric.

A trade between us and Portland won't happen. The Griz beat writer on his morning radio show said the league made sure and told the Grizzlies awhile back that they could not use Miles to facilitate a trade with Portland.

To SacKing. When I read that earlier about Sacramento as possibility, I wasn't sure who you guys would take outside of Conley due to him already being mentioned with Milwaukee. You mentioned vets and we can definitely use some. After that article about Salmons displeasure, I wouldn't be shocked if he's one of the unnamed players.

Conley just isn't worth taking back Jaric.

The only reason he has so much value is because he is a big name that has played with Oden his whole life and was picked like 6th in the draft. He hasn't shown anything special and is a minimal upgrade from Beno.

No way should the Kings trade for Conley. I thought he was overrated in the draft and so far that has been proven.

Trading Salmons for him is crazy, Salmons would have way more value to a contending team. In fact Portland is a team I would rather deal with anyway plus they could use Salmon's veteran leadership.

I'd really like to see Salmons go to New Orleans. I'd LOVE it and root for the Hornets to go all the way in the playoffs this year if that happened.

Return to Sacramento Kings
