A Newb Fantasy Team - Advice needed

Post#1 » by Crowned » Wed Aug 1, 2007 6:57 pm

I'm not too great at fantasy football, and I just completed a draft. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

My team looks like this:

QB- Marc Bulger, Ben Roethlisberger
RB- Larry Johnson, Clinton Portis, Lamont Jordan
WR- Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Chris Chambers, Devery Henderson, Santonio Holmes
TE- Chris Cooley, LJ Smith
K- Neil Rackers
Defence- New England, Oakland

Notable FA's- Mike Vick, Kevin Jones, Mike Bell, Desmond Clark, Marty Booker, Deshaun Foster, Rueben Droughns, Brandon Jackson, Chris Henry, Vernand Morency, Ronald Curry, Wes Walker, Green Bay, St. Louis, Buffalo.

I think it would be beneficial to try and upgrade your TE position - you are good and strong everywhere else. I would even consider packaging one of Chambers/Henderson/Holmes with one of your TEs and Oakland DEF (a good defence)

Cooley is okay, and Campbell threw his way a lot last year. Smith is solid as 2 TE if McNabb is healthy. It's a pretty solid team, IMO. Of course Lamont Jordan and Chris Chambers can end up wasted picks and Johnson may not catch as many balls with Schaub. That's speculation though. Try shipping Lamont Jordan for a potential heavy wide out (Vincent Jackson maybe).
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

Strangely enough, someone just dropped Jackson. You'd recommend picking him up?

Thanks for the comments/advice to everyone else, it's greatly appreciated.

Do that immediately. He will be #1 WR in Norv Turner offense.
