Big Balls Kobe

Post#1 » by vinnycorleone » Thu Jan 15, 2009 8:02 am

Did you guys see what Kobe did after he waxed the 3 to put us up by 2??

He made a Big Balls gesture. This guy is nuts man haha. He shot a 3 when we were down by 1! I call that ballsy.

Can anyone get a .jpg of that? Oh man too good.

Premature and immature...I didn't like it all...

As Mark Jackson would say, "you're better than that, Kobe"

It was a great shot and I think your still made that we lost, but it was a little premature. He can do whatever he wants after the week he has had, and I liked it at the time.

Kobe should never celebrate again. That would be the most incredible approach.

He's so good, he should never be impressed by himself. That would be sick (unless he came off looking like Tim Duncan, in which case that would suck, and this idea would suck...lol).

Dude it took big balls to do that. Imagine if that shot missed. We could be calling it a dumb shot right now. Missing from 30 feet on single coverage.

Funny gesture. Good for the game, it was all in good fun. At least he didn't get on all fours and start growling. lol.

I'd prefer he didn't do it. Do you guys not remember the Sacto Kings precelebrating and losing time after time to us when they thought the game was over? I don't like precelebrating ever until the clock hit's zero's.

As far as the marbles dance is that what Kobe want's to be known for? I don't think so, because we already know he has balls of steel, it's a given. I don't enjoy that dance at all it's gross IMO. That crap is reserved for classess teams like the Celtics.

BTW I was watching the Bulls Cavs game you could her a pin drop in that place players were just going thru the motions, seemed like an exibition game. I'm like FTW is this? Night and day to Laker game intensity. If we don't beat CLE I'm gonna be pissed. No way that team can be that good, they sure look average on paper, sans James.

It's called swagger, sometimes it needs to be done. Some of the greatest have had their own ways of celebrating a great play or shot. No big deal.

wrong. there is no need for it to be done. kaj, magic, jerry rice, emmitt smith, wayne gretzky, mario lemiux....................tons of examples of players that didn't need to do it. some of the greatest ever to play.................players that had swagger without needing to showcase it. celebration is one thing............being an ahole and showing up the opponent is completely different. it's unfortunately something thats crept into sports over the last 20 years. if a player used to do that kind of crap in the 70s/80s, he'd be looking for his teeth before the end of the game.

I dont ever remember MJ, Pip, Olajawon, Duncan, or any other professional "well respected" mature athlete do that. Kobe is still a kid...

How old are you guys, must be in your teens or early twenties. Probably never even watched these players even play. MJ was one of the biggest trash talker, taunters.

So doing free throws with your eyes closed, mocking other players with their own swagger (Dikembe finger waving) is "sportsmanship" like conduct. Who cares???
