Retirement Of A Mod - Count55

Post#1 » by APerna » Thu Jan 15, 2009 8:48 pm

Hey gang,

Two announcements in one day, I feel like an important person. Unfortunately, this post isn't nearly as positive and enjoyable to make as the previous one. I am here to announce that Tim, Count55, has decided to retire as a moderator.

If you are a good detective you probably knew someone was going to leave, which made finding a fourth (and now third) mod an important step. Count helped this board grow in a tremendous number of ways, not just having "introduced" the Pacesetter tradition from another board and, of course, starting another tradition we all know and love in our "detailed" game threads.

Tim will remain a poster every now-and-then, but has a lot of other things to keeps his fingers on, like Jessica Alba, for now.

Please join me in thanking Count for all he gave to the board, and hopefully will continue to as a "retired" member of this community.

We love ya Tim!

Thanks for all the posting Tim/Count.

I noticed that your posts have faded the last few months but I hope that you will still be checking up on us and contributing to this board.

Good luck with everything in the future, inclduing as PP put it, keeping your fingers (or anything else you can manage for that matter) on Jessica Alba :D

2 Anouncements in 1 day & I seem to be the first to reply on both.... hugh.

Count55,
You are one of the all-time posters, & your calm deminer, maturity, & rational thought has been awsome to witness & enjoy over the yrs. I hear you commute a rediculas distance in your new gig, so I am sure that bears into your decision. I wish you only the best, & maybe one day I can buy you a bear at the Tavern! (Maybe during a playoff game :D )

I hope you continue to post as much as possible (here & on PD), as your stats & way of breaking down a player/ cap/ & your comparison of talent are something special. I consider you one of my friends I know alittle, but have never met.

The best for you & yours!

hey Count55 retiring seems he's kinda young to be moving to Florida and living in a mobile home and wearing those funny plaid shorts with the black socks. Well incase they don't give you the gold watch count here's the best i can do.

Count55 was a good mod, PR07 has some big shoes to fill but i think he's up to it.

Thanks for your time, Count. I hope you don't forget about this place as you go forward with whatever it is you're doing. You're one of the most intelligent posters on this forum but it was obvious you didn't have the time to be a mod anymore. It didn't take a rocket scientist to realize you spend less and less time here. I do thank you for all the insightful posts and all the time you put in here and hope to see you around in the near future back on these forums.

Thanks count. I hope you keep posting...I have to say a lot of times I'm on here and will only read threads that you, PP, Scoot, and a few others have replied to. Not to knock other posters, but I've always been able to trust that there will be something of substance in your replies. Hopefully this will eliminate some of them that I open only to find a bunch of squabbling with a warning from you at the end ;)

Thanks for all the time and effort on this board Count. I for one have been honored to learn quite a deal about the game behind the game from your input. I hope you can find the time to still contribute around here. Don't be a stranger now.....

A very very sad day here in Pacernation. You will be surely missed, Count. I always liked your take on things, your basketball knowledge was impressive. Hope your future endeavors turn out as great as the the effort and dedication you have put on these Pacer boards.
Rest in Peace, Pacerfan

Count will be missed, pure and simple. He was huge in reviving this board once upon a time, and his knowledge and commitment have been huge assets to this board. Hopefully, he'll stick around because posters like him don't come around very often.

Count!! You are definitely one of my favourite posters!! Your post were always right on cue and virtually unarguable. I would always try to find some sort of flaw in your posts because I am always down for a good debate but I couldn't! lol Thanks for being a great Mod Count55!!!

What will us dumb little lemmings do without the genius logic of count55?

I think that no one argued a point better than he.

I know he'll still post, but it's funner to talk about people in past tense. Plus, count55 as moderator is gone.

Tim, your wisdom, and logical perspective will be sadly missed, and I hope that you are able to at least be a lurker, as it seems so many of us posters have become... I also hope that you are able to stop by with some of your insight and elighten us... Best wishes from all of us RealGMers, past and present...

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. I got a lot of enjoyment out of this board.

I'm sure that you will be very happy with PR07...a quality mod, quality poster, and quality guy.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.
