Oh we'll find some sucker to take Cardinal off our hands for free. HA!

But you're right, I slipped there.

C - Thabeet/Jordan
PF - Jefferson/Love/Smith
SF - Marvin Williams/Gomes
SG - Foye/Brewer
PG - Collison/Telfair

That would be the smart thing to do but, honestly, I would just take Holiday just to avoid the PR and the endless 'Monroe vs. Holiday - what could have been' threads.

Curry is interesting. I wouldn't want him as SG but he could make a nice scoring PG next to Foye. He would have decent height for that position. I'd probably take Thabeet over him at 7 but he's probably a better pick than Clark. I doon't think I would draft Curry and Collison, though. One PG out of Rubio, Holiday, Curry, Collison, and Teague and one SG out of Harden, Derozan, Turner, and Evans with the Minny and Miami picks, then James with Boston's pick would be great for me. Add in Williams and most of the lineup holes are patched.

Lol, that would be awesome if we drafted based on threads you don't want to see.

if Curry is a top 10 pick than Derozan, Turner, and Evans should (would) be sprinting to the nearest agent.

I'm a Curry guy, but not with our 1st pick, just can't do it.

what doesn't look right is that you've relegated Kevin Love to about 12 minutes a game - PREPOSTEROUS! And you've relegated Craig Smith to DNP-CD duty - DOUBLY PREPOSTEROUS!

Yet Brewer and Telfair still get huge roles @#!$!@#%@#$!%@#$!@$@#

I know, or I'm pretty sure you're joking, but I'm sure there's someone out there that doesn't understand what my thinking is here. When I put together a roster I do a depth chart based on their primary position, and only one position, I don't list the same guy under 2 or 3 slots even though he can potentially play there.

My thinking would be a 3 man rotation of Thabeet, Love, and Jefferson, with Jordan getting minimal minutes. Of course Jefferson, then Love would be eating most of those minutes. Something like...

5 and 4 - Jefferson(35)/Love(28)/Thabeet(22)/Jordan(11)
3 and 2 - Gomes/Williams/Brewer
2 and 1 - Brewer/Foye
1 - Collison/Telfair

I lost interest in doing all their minutes. But I'm sure you get the point.

If we draft Thabeet, then there's no reason to draft Jordan also. One center is enough. We should spend the Bostion pick on a project wing.

Thabeet-Jefferson-Love-Madsen-Gomes would be sufficient.

That's fine, whatever. It's the 27th pick of the draft, we could take rev for all i care at that point. :-)

I really like Jordan though if we get Harden or Holiday, which looks doubtful at this point.

Here's a player we haven't really talked about... Eric Maynor.

http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketb ... age/569894

He's having a terriffic year. Plays for a smaller school, so we might not get to see much of him.
He has much better size than a lot of the other pgs in this draft.

Here's what ESPN insider views as his pros and cons:

Positives:

Super-quick point guard who knows how to get to the basket
Aggressive, fearless
Good strength despite his wiry frame
Good floor vision, takes care of the ball
An emerging shooter with 3-point range
Excellent on-the-ball defender
Great at playing the passing lanes, racks up the steals

Negatives:

Needs to continue to add strength
Needs more consistency from 3-point territory

Derozan hasn't had a stellar year, but he's been adaquete for a freshman. I could see him going to measurements and working his way into the top 10. I'd probably take him at 8-12. Wolves should take best athletic wing available imo.

This, if I have to choose between Jrue Holiday and Demar Derozan, that will be difficult at this point. I still like Jrue Holiday a little more, but there are rumors that he will be staying in school an extra year so he can run the point.

With the way Foye has been playing the 2 lately, it would be silly to pass on the big point for another shooting guard. With that said, though, I wouldn't be unhappy with a DeRozan draft at all.

bottomline: we do everything we can to make Jrue Holliday a Timberwolf. this team needs his defense more than any other asset in this draft. i tandem of he and Foye is to much to pass up.

Gomes is a coach killer. Timberwolves will take a player that can hit the 3 regularly to loosen up the inside, driving to the rim is a plus.

Jrue got 2 quick fouls, sat out, and then got a 3rd = total 16 minutes. He stayed out most of the 2nd half. He was assigned to Budinger and did the best job of any Bruin. Jrue at 6-4 actually has the length to guard taller players like he did in hs against Delvon Roe. His hands are very fast. Budinger used his experience to get a clever foul.

You guys talk so much about him, do you ever get a chance to watch Jrue? I get almost all the UCLA games here in New York City on Fox...one of those fox west or whatever college channels. You should get UCLA-ASU
