Jazz get rid of a two bad contracts (although AK is playing well and contributing, just not the type of performance that contract requies) other then that the draft choices perhaps could be package with others to perhaps move up in the draft ala Deron. Is it worth it? I would much rather get rid of Boozer and his lazy ass then AK.

I love how teams come in and think we're idiots, willing to give away good players for virtually nothing in return.

Until we're that desperate to get him off the books--which we aren't at the present time--then I really wish people would stop with these proposals. This has got to be the 20th different version of an AK for Wally trade we've seen on this board this year.

I would consider a trade involving AK for Tayshaun Prince, with maybe some other pieces involved both ways.

I would never, ever trade AK for effing Wally, nor give up a potentially great player in Fesenko and our toughest player in Harpring (even though I'm pretty sick of him) for ERIC SNOW, who I've only heard Cav's fans complain about and who has no place on guard-saturated roster....Darnell Jackson?

AK may very well need to go, but not until we find out what happens with Boozer and MIllsap. Jazz brass aren't stupid enough to simply bank on either one staying; we may need AK to help at PF for a year or two. if we DO let him go...effing just look at his stats...we need his defense, versatility and hustle and aren't giving that up for nothing in return. His value has recovered quite a bit since all the trade rumors.

I'm sick of trade threads....

I will renounce my jazz fanship and burn all jazz items I have, if they trade Ak for Wally. Snow, worthless, Cav's 09 1st round pick is going to only add a crappy 3rd from the last pick at best and another roster spot/guaranteed contract that we don't want.

Teams make financial moves. Fans don't like it, but, they do. I would understand if the Jazz dumped AK for expirings. I wouldn't be happy about it, but, I'd understand.

My hope is that they have a better plan in mind than a salary dump. KOC was on the radio the other day and indicated that the Jazz would pay the Luxury tax under certain circumstances. I think this is a good sign for keeping the team together.

But he isn't a ridiculous contract anymore! It's shorter and he is contributing in a meaningful way that promotes more wins. I can see if the Jazz were more than a few games out of the second seed, and if he was a stat padder a la Ricky Davis who wasn't helping the team win now. But he is helping the team win now, and the team is in no dire economic condition. AK is especially important if Boozer leaves. If Boozer and Millsap stay, maybe then you can look at dumping him for circus clowns.

collins, harping, almond and a first round pick

for

lebron

That way Cleveland can get under the salary cap.
and since he is going to go to NY in two years. This way Cleveland doesnt loose him for nothing.
