A quality PG, preferably with some height (Rubio, Holiday, Teague, Curry, Collison)
An athletic wing (Harden, Derozan, Turner, Evans, Clark, Summers)
A defensive big as backup center (Thabeet, Aldrich, Jordan)

If we get one of the above from each category, I'm happy.

With our pick I'd like Demar DeRozan or BJ Mullens.
With Miami's pick Chase Budinger or Cole Uldrich.
Probably won't get Utah's pick
With Boston's pick Nick Calathes or Jodie Meeks.

If we ended up with those guys I'd have to pinch myself every 5 seconds to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

if we draft thebeast with our first pick I quit.

we need a bigger defensive backcourt mate for foye. holiday/harden will be the debate.

rubio is not coming out and I doubt daye does either.

being that a sonic fan brought this thread up makes me want to ask this question. if the wolves get the 3rd pick and harden is gone, rubio and holiday did not enter. could I deal be made using that pick and anything but al/love/brew/foye to bring in jeff green or r.westbrook? I know most fans reject any trades for their young players but green and westbrook fit those desires we have. just throwing it out there.

I'm not really a big Thabeet fan, but it seems like his numbers go up every year. He's up 3 points, 2 rebounds and 6% percent from the field. I wouldn't draft him, but I wouldn't be mad if we did.

who else would u take than ??? im guessing our pick would be in the range of 7-10th and by than jennings will be gone with only Teague left and i dunno if hes worth a top 10 pick
Holiday wont be there for sure if he even goes into the draft and harden is a top 2 pick

DaJuan Summers maybe? NBAdraft has him at #7 and he looked pretty good on Saturday.

I doubt Miller is going to Sonics or McCants for that matter. I would give all the picks for the combo of Green and Westbrook, Talent will have to go back, This trade looked dooable a month or so ago but now Sonics prolly have Griffen or the talented Monroe in their sights. Timberwolves and Thunder would make good trade partners....Rev asks a good question what would it take from Timberwolves to get a deal done for Jeff & Russell or just Green if thats the case? I read somewhere Thunder are shopping Watson so maybe there has been a decision on Westbrook to stay in OK?

If we draft Thabeet because we are picking 5-10 and he is the BPA, then its acceptable. But if we have a higher pick OR Holiday or someone else is on the board and we over look our backcourt needs, i too will be pissed

does ur basketball mind really put brewer in the asset boat of booth? I think brewer is still a key part of our future. I would like to not move him. but it is good to know that your sense of talent and value is fundamentally lacking.

jennings does nothing for me.

worm I want quality not quantity. if a guy we are targeting is not there then I hope we package some assets for a contributor. hence my green/westbrook question. I do like collison or jordan perhaps later but as more of an after thought not a focus.

btw the op is ''sonic''-ben. hence the sonic part. they are still sonics to me. the move was a load of crap.

Well Sonic-ben is on the OKC boards I walked over to post this idea there and get a better sense of what OKC felt about this and it appears that Sonic-ben is a regular poster there so thats all cool. Anyway it's posted there. You know Green is heads and shoulder above Crash in my books right now and is alot younger and cheaper. It will take more than picks though.....Where's Shrink?

I meant green or westbrook...not both. only way we get both is if we get the numbr 1 and they want griffin
