Fred is okay. Streaky, but okay. I say keep him-- what have we got to lose? I say as long as he keeps playing hard, hang on to that guy.

He's cool to have on the team (especially right now). I don't know what kind of minutes he will get when everybody is healthy (Davis, Taylor & Hart), but it looks like a decision on him would need to be made before then.

I voted in category 2, at this point in the season, it is more important to be fiscally responsible and bring in another player or two on 10 days until guys like Baron, Randolph and Mike Taylor can return. I wouldn't mind keeping him if they can include Jason Hart in a trade package, but that is unlikely.

We just need another guard right now and he's been solid since we signed him.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Let him walk.

Bring in Kirk Snyder for a 10-day contract

I've been vouching for Snyder since the offseason. Jones has been a nice addition, but Snyder has the size to play G-F.

Supposedly Dr. Phil has interest in him.

The Clippers signed Fred Jones for the remainder of the season.

His second 10-day contract was due to expire after Wednesday's game, and he was given the good news by Dunleavy in the hallway beforehand.

Might as well, at this point. Why not?

There was a really good article written on this signing.

That was a really touching story. He seems like a very likeable guy, and we know he is hard-working.
Since he spent all his NBA money on supporting his extended family in the past, I hope they will support him anytime he may need it in future.

That was a nice article. He's definitely a class act, someone that deserves to be in the league based on his professionalism and work ethic alone. There are players who blow all their money on toys without giving anything back. These type of players don't deserve any form of sympathy if they fall on financial hardship. But players who have given, maybe a little more than they should have, are ones that deserve to be in the league over those who don't. Jones has given to his extended family, and also to the community where he holds charity events and such (saw it on a tv show when he was with the Raptors). I'm glad he got signed, he's a solid bench player that can produce when given the minutes.

That was a very touching article. It's kind of funny (not haha funny), but it's great to know that being on this Clippers team is a blessing for him. Even with our struggles I'm glad that some good was able to come about for someone in need. I've liked having him on the team and I hope that he's able to find himself in a more stable situation sooner than later.

Does anyone know what his salary is for the remainder of the year?
