Yeah, they didn't say much about it on the air, but there was an article in the paper about Dubay getting busted. I didn't know Roufs was gone.

I'm surprised that Hartman and Doogie were let go. Not a big fan of any of the shows as I don't think they really focus that much on sports (I know there's more to life than that, but if you're a sports station then you should talk sports). Hartman's show has deteriorated a lot, but how can Common Man still have a job? I know he's trying to make a parody, but the jokes are so old and beaten to death.

I have a feeling they're going to use ESPN national feeds a lot more to save costs in some time slots.

I was always wishy washy on Hartman. Sometimes he was good, other times not so much. Paul Allen and Barrerio are my favorites. Dan Cole I'll listen to just cause he's an idiot and I like stupid people.

I'd have prefered no changes. but that's because I'm cranky and old.

I'd like to apply for a job at KFAN ( on air ). I don't know how to do it officially, but I'll assume this RealGM post is enough.

PS I demand to be paid in civil war currency, my terms are non-negotiable. But if you'd like to negotiate, contact me, I'm very lenient on my terms. PSS I'm schizophrenic.

I liked Doogie. I liked Chad. I liked Dubay.

I can't even tolerate listening to Common. I'm sure he's a nice guy, but its insulting that he does no show prep whatsoever, and now they want people to listen to him for another hour? He calls it "cerebral improvisation radio." I think he's just too lazy to prepare anything that listeners might like to hard about.

And I would be happy to have Dan Barreiro gone too. He acts like talking sports is beneath him.

I'll agree Common is my favorite. I enjoy most all of the shows but why so much hate for Common? He shares his true opinion.

I haven't had the opportunity to listen to him since July, but half the time he didn't sound like he knew what he was talking about. He'd get names wrong, histories wrong, he'd have no clue who even played the night before.

He's the George Bush of KFAN.

he does have some good stuff, sure. I do like the fact that he's mocks people who think the teams are off-limits and can't be ripped, but he doesn't go overboard with his ripping, but I think that's mostly because he doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

Sad to see someone lose their job but it's a common thing now days.

Hartman blabbered too much but Doogie was good. His updates at noon were getting pretty good.

When I first started listening to KFAN, I enjoyed Common because being a new listener, his jokes were 'new' or 'fresh'. But over time it became unbearable to listen to him.

Only recently have I realized that I seasonally enjoy Common. I like Common during football season but I don't care for him the rest of the year. He's refreshing to listen to during the football season because all you ever heard all week on the other shows was Vikings talk. And granted I'm a huge Vikings fan, there's only so much Vikings you can talk about for 11 hours a day, 5 days a week so listening to Common is a nice change of pace. During non-football season, I prefer to listen to CDs when Common is on because without football, I need my fill of sports, sports, sports as much as possible. Well that's it for my rant that no one cares about. And to prove that no one cares about it or will even read it, I will end by saying rev wishes he was as cool as me.

Hartman was one of my favorites. He was one of the smarter hosts, I thought, and usually fair with his opinions. Doogie was likeable but he was always interrupting the flow of the program with random, unimportant facts. It could get annoying.

so what's Paul Allen's show like without Dubay, do they have a new co-host? Thats the only one I ever used to listen to because PA used to talk hoops, but then they started having commercial breaks every 90 seconds and started talking about hockey more and more.

The other shows were just 'pick a story in the newspaper and talk about it'. Not that that's horrible, but it was usually something non-interesting. Don't tell me about the boring Senate recount, tell me about how the University of Madrid researchers have found a new method of manipulating atoms at the nanometric level.
This is one step closer to my dream of creating a ham and cheese sandwich that's perfect on an atomic scale.

No new co-host. I don't listen to PA much, but it seems like he has a lot of guests.

The show doesn't have the same energy with just PA. I think the loss took alot out of him. I believe the show needs a good co-host for him to play off of and re-create the energy it once had.

As for the shows, I like the stuff before noon, and am not a fan of the stuff afternoon save for the late night stuff with Lake and Sludge sometimes. I used to love PA and Dubay, but now I think Morris and crew are most entertaining. They talk sports mainly and have decent energy with their full crew. Of the afternoon stuff I probably liked Hartman the best, and Bar and Common do little to nothing for me. Of course, I listened to Hartman rarely due to work, so that could be why I liked him better than the others.

I'd like to co-host with PA. I'm willing to take a drug test.

Perfectly said, how is it not funny when he call Joe Mauer the baby Jesus? It is nice to hear the "non-homer" point of view cause that what you hear the rest of the time.
