I guess you're right but let's not get carried away. Chicago's 3 best bigmen are Gooden, Thomas and Noah. Nothing to write home about. If Williams actually knew how to play the game they could have found some use for him..
I also guess nobody's bugged by the idea of Thorn practically giving him away.
I think that alone proves how worthless Williams is on the trading front..

SIC i'm not too sure but I thought it was possible to trade a player recently acquired as long as he's traded by himself. I could be wrong though..

Giving him away? You can look at it from the other side of the table. Maybe Thorn didn't think the Bulls wanted a flat out salary dump and thought the bulls could find a better deal (which I believe they could) so they could have just tried to entice them with Sean. If they bought it, ok, we rid ourselves of a problem (taking the gamble that he doesn't progress much) and go with an upgrade at the 2-guard for the next 2 years, opening up a roster spot and keeping 2010 intact. I don't completely call that giving him away. Thorn/Kiki could be high on hughes and in order for the bulls to seriously consider the deal, we have to give them an offer we felt would get the job done. I can see your logic, but it's not totally clear do to all of us just going off of rumors. We also don't know exactly what the official offer was either. They could have tried to pry someone away (or a draft pick, etc) and thought they would bite if we gave them Sean, then they returned with just Simmons/Ager for Hughes.
Again, none of us are on these phone calls, and not all of this gets relays to the media or the media leaves stuff out. We all just go on half-assed rumors. There is always more parts to the story we rarely hear.

I have more faith in Robin learning a 12 foot jumper and evolving into a Varejao-type hustle player coming off the bench than Boone. You can make a solid argument for saying all the reasons why Robin should never be in a Nets uniform, however, you did nothing to show that, then you just drop a pipe dream name or something along those lines we could never land for Sean.
how do we have a 0% chance of getting anthony randolph?? we got vince carter for alonzo mourning and a hospital bed.

You're honestly trying to use the greatest fleecing of the last 25 years, possibly even a top 3 fleecing ever in NBA history, to justify that we have more than a 0% chance we could ever land randolph for Swill? Ok, I may be a little unrealistic in saying it's 0%...it should be 1%. We may be able to get Mullin drunk and bitter enough at the fact he will likely not have a job after this season to pull this deal behind the rest of the GSW management's back.

read my post again, i even said golden state wouldnt do it unless they were high. i also never said swill for randolph straight up, i said along the lines of swill for randolph. im sure there something realistic that can be done involving those 2.
