Happy Birthday Hakeem Olajuwon!

Post#1 » by Baller 24 » Thu Jan 22, 2009 2:58 am

We make a freaking thread for Tracy McLazy's Birthday, Yao's birthday, why not honor someones birthday that is actually WORTH honoring?

Let's give it up for Hakeem, all-time shot blocking leader, one of the greatest defensive players ever, a top 10 player all-time, and brought Houston the only championships in any of our major league sports!

GOAT Rocket. He's like Deke's age too, 46. Happy B-Day!

Hakeem is sooooo down to earth.

He met my nephews in Jordan about a month ago, and he invited them to his house to play basketball. Hes the BEST by far!!

Happy Birthday Hakeem

I'd rather have Hakeem in his playing days than Yao, McGrady, and Artest. My favorite player ever, and a truly awesome player.

If the Rockets had good management from 1988 to 1991, there would be more to brag about. The Rockets didn't even bother putting even a decent amount of talent around him, and even then in '94 he succeeded with Thorpe as his best player, and couple of young guys like Robert Horry and Sam Cassell ;) Remeber going into the finals, the Knicks were favored to win, and if Patrick Ewing played remotely close to what he was predicted (not shoot 38%) the Rockets would have been swept, or it was over in 5 games; but the amazing two way dominance of Hakeem really showed when he faced Ewing.
