Pete Carroll is still the coach of USC, right?

Yeah, that wouldn’t happen.

QFT. People forget what a crappy coach he was when he didn't 100x talent advantage. He still manages to lose to one crappy team every year.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.

I wonder if we keep seeing 1st and 2nd seeds failing to advance, if we'll ever see an NFL coach try to organize a scrimmage with a college team during the bye week. The logistics would be ugly, but it'd be something to see.

It'd have to be as a teaching clinic.

As mentioned, only the very best college players go to the NFL. They also improve once they get into the league. Any NFL end-of-bencher would be a star on a college team. The Lions would massacre any college team to the point that it would be depressing to witness.

The Lions looked bad this year because they were against NFL teams. They're the 32nd best football team in the world, which is damn good.

This wouldn't even be close, the Lions practice squad could beat a college team.

People must not realize just how good NFL players are. Even if the college team had a handful of future NFL talent, it would be the equivalent of a team of rookies playing a team of veterans. If the NBA's Rookie-Sophomore challenge is any indication of just how much experience means, this game would not be close.

NFL players are bigger stronger and faster, and would dominate. Plus NFL defenses are far more complex than any college defense. USC's offense would have a hard time scoring against an NFL defense, even the Lions.
