This is the first year I feel as though he's undeserving of an All-Star berth, and he's voted as a starter? Meh, this will due wonders for his ego I'm sure.

Definitely doesn't deserve to be an all-star.

That said, maybe this will be motivation. Of course, maybe it won't.

He was lucky to get voted in by fans. Because I don't think he will get voted by coaches.

This isn't going to do anything but boost his ego, and he will shine in the game too because nobody plays defense in the all star game. If he gets MVP then something might change, but he honestly has NO chance of getting it with all the better players in the NBA, especially in the East. Lebron, Wade, or Howard will get MVP.

Actually to be fair...Carmelo was voted by the fans. Amar'e was "voted" by the NBA...if you catch my drift.

What makes you say that DB? Have you heard anything about him being dealt?

No, no, no. He hasn't been dealt. He just didn't "earn" the starting nod in the All-Star game over Melo by fan voting. Or so I'm told.

How did Amare get in though because I thought the players with the most fan votes get the starting spots?

Also this is off topic DB but do you know if the Suns are going to re-sign Courtney Sims for the rest of the season or are they going to just let him go after his 10 day contract is up and go after someone else possibly?

Yes, the player with the most fan votes is supposed to be the starter...however, the numbers may have been fudged slightly because Phoenix is the host city.

And Sims will probably play on a few 10 day contracts. No signings are expected in terms of "for the rest of the season" type deals.

Do you have a feel for how the FO feels about Amare?

Amare doesnt deserve to be an All Star anymore than T-Mac does. Take the voting away from the fans

So he's the starting SF and will be matched up vs Lebron... not ideal.

Yao
TD
Amare
Kobe
CP3

Dwight
KG
LBJ
Wade
AI

Amare's not at the top of his game, but he still deserves in a lot more then AI or T-Mac.
