OK, this may be the step needed to keep Peppers here! The D-Line coach is gone, D-Coord now gone. It says the Panthers offered a Contract and he declined. My guess is it was an offer made for him to walk away from; and that was to allow both sides to save face AND hopefully entice Peppers to stay. It really depends on who we hire now. I know Peppers was saying he wants to play in a 3-4 Base Defense rather than a 4-3. Given that we have the still mostly unused Landon Turner whom we signed as a FA last yr but who could not supplant Diggs as starter, along with Dan Connor coming back, I can see this team going 3-4. I'd also love the team to also go after Albert Haynesworth, but that may be too much $. Well see!

Defensive co-ordinator gone after 12-4 and one of the best defences in the NFC? If this is pandering to Peppers, it's going too far, especially if he leaves.

Well, there was a lot of talk about his inability to make in game changes when things start to go awry. Like when New Orleans started that massive comeback in the 4th qtr against us, and took the lead. Even tho our offense was able to overcome, there have been times where our defense failed to make changes in mid game. Look at what Arizona did to us in the Playoffs. I honestly dont think this is all about Peppers. But I am hopeful that the move will help entice him to stay. Otherwise, we must Franchise him and either keep him this one more year or see who pays a Kings Ransom for his services. Either way, we will benefit in some way.

We certainly had one of the best D in the league after 8 games. The second half of the season would have been terrible if it wasn't for the running game. We gave up too many yards and it came up and got us in the playoffs. I think the offense is ok. We sign Gross and we are ok. The D needs a better D-LIne... with or without Peppers.
