Huge win tonight, they didnt really play there best, Pierce and Baby were both huge, rondo had a really good game too and perk played well as well. Who gets the Cigar, I vote for Baby

I'm voting for BBD, his 4th quarter was huge, let's hope this little stretch is no fluke and he's turned a corner because he has been pretty damned solid of late.

Looks like BB might finally get his first cigar!

He gets my vote.

Pierce has nice numbers, and was great as usual but he looked to be forcing shots at times. huge effort on the boards though.

But... this Cigar goes to the biggest.... and the clutchest of the babies Glen Davis

My gosh...I used to cringe and yell every time Davis took a jump shot; then I was horrified to hear that Doc was encouraging him...

I guess that's why he's the coach. In any case, if he can continue to hit that shot, it is simply HUGE. His game would resemble Joe Smith without the length but with more strength...

Remember that one game early on where Perk buried 5 or 6 15 footers??? I don't think I"ve seen him attempt another one all year.

Great game by Big Baby...If he will be able to hit the midrange jumper at lets say 50% he is that big man we are all looking to trade for...

Great last games by Baby and Scall...Powe could soon be out of the rotation

Aside: I apologize for my aborted attempt to begin the V Cigar thread myself 5 minutes after Spin.

27-10R-4A-2 steals THE TRUTH!

Great Q4 play by Big Baby!!!!!

FFFing awesome team D - suffocated an Orlando team that scores 102 ppg.

Let me see. Now that we have won 7 straight games in convincing fashion, and we are 36-9 (.800), after our 2-7 bump in the road, and have beaten Phoenix, DWade/Heat and a very good Orlando team:

Are we going to lose just about every game we play to get to 0.500 by March as one of our outstanding prognosticators predicted? LOLOLOLOLOL

Do we need to trade one of the big 3 before we come apart at the seams? LOLOLOLOL

Moral of story - Enjoy this frigging team - win or lose. Desist from whining and doom/gloom posting. Have faith. WE ARE GOING TO WIN NUMBER 18 THIS YEAR!
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

Have to go with Davis. If he can make that jumper consistently he can really help this team.

We didn`t play very well offensively (only 9 assists) but I guess this was the tactics today. What is important is that we showed how you need to play against the magic. Slow the game down, make it a half court game, don`t double team Howard and defend the 3 point line. Defensively they are nowhere near us or cavs, so that especially in the playoffs will play a huge role.

Baby bashers are running for the hills! Doc has been coaching this team all year for the playoffs having guys develop things now like Davis with his jumper.

And what is it bearing? Fruit! Yes fruit!

Kudos to the oversized infant. Nice win over previously hot Orlando. Big Baby gets the stogie.

Big Baby FTW!

Aside from his offense, Baby stood his ground against D12. I even saw a few instances where he would bump chests with D12 during dead ball situations. Good job Glen!

Nope, right here in town Gant. Baby still needs to be upgraded. Outside of Howard, Orlando has zero for backup bigs. They were so worried about KG they were sagging off of Davis like crazy. He SHOULD be hitting that open jump shot. How many games has he come up short on that time and time again. He's being praised for doing his job in one game. Now if he can string together even 6-7 straight games with a high level of play then I'll eat some serious crow. With that said.

I voted for the captain.

With you all the way on that one biscuit. I've always thought Big Baby's nimble toes and great hands made him way more valuable than leon powe. Not that I don't think powe isn't good, he was amazing in that l.a. series. There were just times in the season last year where baby looked particularly skillful.

Sorry Gant,

even though I voted to give Glen Davis a Cigar tonight,

he's still the number 1 upgrade requirement.

He won't cut it against Illgauskas, or even Andy Varejo,
who'll stuff him threw his Jersey,
or Bynum/Pau Gasol.

So, let's all applaud Glen Davis tonight,
and he looks like he might make a career in the NBA if he can consistently
make that mid-range jumper that Tommy Heinsohn has repeatedly said
was the key to Davis making it in the NBA,
and that little Dave Cowens like jump hook, too.

But that sh*t won't work against Illgauskas or Anderson Varejo or Gasol.
Might not even work against Al Horford, who plays 40 mpg when they count,
or Antonio McDyess.
And Dwight Howard may come better prepared next time.

Dial up Joe Smith,
send OKC Tony Allen, Sam Cassell and one more guy,
and that improves the Celtic chances in the playoffs immeasurably.

And Pruitt is my #2 guy to upgrade.

Gee, WYC AND DOC said the Celtics hoped to add a Big and a Guard before the playoffs.
Whose spots on the Active 12 (NOT the Inactive List)
do you think they're considering UPGRADING??

Obviously Davis, and either Tony Allen or Pruitt.

Baby on Bynum isn't ridiculous.

But yes, the Cavs are more worrisome.

It was Paul Pierce. 27 points + 10 rebounds + good defense + 4 dimes > 16 points + 4 rebounds + O dimes.
