I don't think the numbers were fudged. Anthony wouldn't have finished 5th in voting for forwards in the West if they fixed the voting in Amare's favor. The NBA would have made a closer race between Amare and Anthony to promote voting next year if they were going to rig it. I can't believe Bruce Bowen finished 3rd though.

Amare's All-Star campaign www.vote4amare.com probably garnered a lot of votes for him.

I did leave him a message after the Boston game.

How the hell did Bruce Bowen come in 3rd for the forward spot?? WTF that would have been even worse if Bowen was starting.

Well, IIRC Bowen works for an association that helps fat kids, and there are a lotta overweight peeps in the world.... That's the only reasonable explanation.
Either that or Wally Szcerbiak has an extreme diehard hatebase somewhere in China, or maybe peeps just wanted to piss off the host city and/or thought it'd be fun to watch him get booed by the Phx crowd

Same thing like last year when David west go the nod to be in the all star game. yes, as of late he is not an all star. But the guy was crazy after the all star game last year and I hope it helps him to get back on top of his game.

I'd vote him too if it means he's to start the game and the fans in the USAC boo the crap out of him.

"Stoudemire’s spot turned out to be the most vulnerable; he nipped San Antonio’s Bruce Bowen—who isn’t even starting for the Spurs right now—in the starters’ balloting by 68,031 votes."
Who the hell makes these all star ballots? There's no reason that a role player like Bowen should even be on that ballot.
