Jan. 23: Milwaukee @ Atlanta

The Bucks are a formidable team that Skiles has playing extremely hard. We can't afford to take them lightly.

:)
Hawks can't afford to take ANY nba team lightly.
Usually, there is only a small difference between
the haves and the have nots in the NBA.

Hawks, already short handed, sure don't need to
"Sleepwalk" thru any part of this one.

It's going to be a very difficult game tonight.

Atlanta's favored to win by 5½ points. O/U is 203.

the bucks will be without bogut again, although that didn't matter against the mavs on wednesday, as they shot the lights out. after shooting 29% in the 1st quarter, they shot 83% in the second, 74% in the third, and finished 58% for the game. should be a good game regardless.

That's going to be a tough game. The Bucks are playing well, and even though I do not like Redd, he's the kind of guy who can give us a lot of trouble. I hope we can come up strong and not get down by 12 in the first quarter as we tend to do.

It was much easier than I expected. Bibby was terrific, J. Smith had a nice game. Now we got Shaq and Amare coming in. Another tough task, let's get ready for the Suns. Best news of the day ? Al should be back by the end of next week.

Flip Murray was hitting it all tonight and deserves to be mentioned.

Excellent win and I didn't expect it.

^^ I agree. Flip was terrific too. He was killing them with that turn around J.

I think the big difference in this game was our intensity. Looks like the Hawks made the commitment to play physical D, they got a lot of deflections and poke aways and were bodying their men up. Our interior D was not terrific but that's to be expected with Al out. On offense we weren't settling for jumpers....Marvin, Josh, and even Joe did a good job of getting in the paint. Not to mention Bibby was giving guys great feeds. All around good game! Let's keep it up.

The Bucks defense is ranked ahead of ours yet we shredded them even though JJ and Bibby weren't hitting their shots. Looks like Woody finally got the memo about using Bibby and Smith in pick and rolls.

Over the last 5 games Smith hasn't attempted a 3. I can't remember the last time that happened. He is now shooting 48.9% on the season.

Flip is really having a career year. not a bad deal for $1.5 million.

^^^ Was about to mention that myself. We have been running the PNR a lot recently and it has worked very well. I never thought I'd say this but Zaza has run the PNR much better than Horford had been and it worked wonders for us offensively.
