LHM has legs removed!!

Post#1 » by Hikari » Sat Jan 24, 2009 1:50 am

I wish him the best.

Longtime Utah Jazz owner Larry H. Miller's legs were amputated 6 inches below the knee on Friday.

Jazz spokesman Jonathan Rinehart said Friday's surgery was the result of complications from Type 2 diabetes.

Rinehart said the 64-year-old Miller is recovering in a hospital.

"Larry is doing well and is expected to continue to recover in the coming weeks and months," Greg Miller, Larry Miller's son, said in a statement. The statement said Miller's family would not be releasing any details.

Larry Miller has his legs removed and he will probably be back on the court sooner than Boozer! :)

All kidding aside, I wish him the best in his recovery. Larry Miller has always been a stand up guy and I wish him the best.

This made me really sad when I saw this at work. I truly wish him the best. You'll be in my prayers Larry.

If this helps him live longer, then I am happy for him. He looked in terrible, terrible condition. He has done so much for the state of Utah, for the University of Utah and BYU alike, and for the LDS church. He truly is a great man. We really should be thankful to Larry for saving the Jazz.

LHM for Utah's all-time Citizen

Very sad to hear this. He's about ten miles short of perfect, but always to my eyes appeared to have a good heart at the core of him. I wish him all the best.

I just saw the headline. I'm a Raptors fan and i don't know the first thing about Larry Miller but i am incredibly sad right now. I hope he has the strength to stay positive and live a healthy life. May God, fate, luck, or whatever it is you believe in spare us such difficult experiences and conditions.

I've always disliked LHM and disagree with about everything he stands for, but I'll send him good wishes anyways.

That is pretty harsh...

I can understand disliking certain things about a person but everything!?!

Don't quite know how you can be a Jazz fan and dislike EVERYTHING about Larry. I can imagine some MUCH WORSE owners in the league...

I don't like that he doesn't like to play home games on Sundays. That he's more about loyalty then winning a championship.

I do like however that he was able to keep the Jazz here even though it's a small market.

With all that said, I do hope he has a happy rest of his life.

I don't want to turn this into a LHM bashing, I genuinely feel bad for the guy. My dad is an amputee of type 2.

With that said... yeah I disagree with almost every 'crusade' he has taken and dislike how he sticks his nose in matters... even so I wish him well. He is in a tough battle.

That's insane, it's pretty safe to say he's done more for Utah then anyone in the last 100 years probably, hope this makes his quality of life better. Good luck Larry.
