DWade praises Celts

Post#1 » by Lane1974 » Sat Jan 24, 2009 2:31 am

thought you guys might be interested

We (reporters) were interviewing Dwyane Wade after practice today and Wade was asked about this three-game stretch of Boston, Orlando and Atlanta. As you’ll soon see, he was very impressed by Boston’s 98-83 annihilation of Miami on Wednesday.

“Boston came in and took care of business,” he said. “The first time I walked away from a game and said, ‘That’s a damn good team right there.’

“We’ve played some good teams _ Cleveland, the Lakers _ and they’re (Orlando) a good team, as well. But Boston, against us, so far has been the best team.”

Actually this might just set up a Cfan79 crazy trade idea thread, where d-wade comes to the celtics for big baby, house, allen and scal.

Seriously though, that is good. Always nice to hear praise on this team from other star players. Especially after the quote which Parker called rondo overrated, just came out.

Props to DWade for respecting the oponents, its much more mature attitude than certain someones "crab" excuses.
Who would win one-on-one in HORSE?

Bird: Nobody beats me in H-O-R-S-E. Besides, Magic cant shoot.

Magic: Larry, you'd have no chance against me one-on-one. I've got too many ways to beat you. Plus, as slow as I am, I'm still faster than you.

Wade should know (more than any ESPN writer) --and this comes just after Shaq praised the C's also...I remember DWade during Game 6 in the Finals, pretty much saying the same thing, about how the Celtics were the Best Team all year---and now they're showing the rest of the world (during the 39 point thumping).
