Washington is giving up 112.0 points per game over its last five, and has allowed three opponents to shoot better than 53.0 percent from the field in that stretch.

Portland is 2-3 since losing point guard Steve Blake to a separated right shoulder, including its loss to Philadelphia last Wednesday -- the game in which Blake suffered the injury.

"This is a game in which Steve Blake may have helped us make a difference," McMillan said Wednesday, "but we don't have him and we have to learn to play with the players we have."

Could Pryzbilla win 6th man? 8 boards off the bench is pretty impressive.

The tank is now open and the water's fine.

If you're in the mood to converse about the game...

Caron with three turnovers, and an almost-fourth that luckily touched a Blazer on its way out of bounds after he lost it. Announcers repeatedly say "Good idea by Butler, just not quite there".

Jamison gets torched twice in a row in the post, once gambling for a steal that leads to an open layup, once literally standing still and letting his guy job by him for a layup. Announcers ask "Why wasn't there any help there for Jamison?"

Blatche is having an ordinary game, 4 points on 2-4 shooting with a board. Announcers chastise him, saying "That fadeaway was a nice looking shot, but it'd really be nice if he tried attacking the basket more".

I know Caron has a good mid-range jumpshot, but it's amazing how he doesn't even think about posting up or driving the ball to the hoop anymore. It doesn't even cross his mind.

Astounding.

They forgot to mute the mike as the Half Time report was going to commercial - anyone else catch Buckhantz essentially telling fans to not bother watching?

"...he said that obviously before he saw this game - this game was over EARLY."

While Phil just chuckles...

I know it must be rough to have to follow this team with the constant losing, but you can't call the game over at the half and only be down eight points.

I hope I just heard it out of context as anything before that last phrase was lost.

8 fun filled seconds in the first half for Nick. What a learning experience.

Stevenson's likely back this week, so Tap's just getting things ready.

I am done hating Tapscott. I just find him funny.

Your team is embarrassing themselves on offense and has scored the 2nd-lowest halftime point total, and you choose to not play our 3rd-best offensive player (Nick Young)? LULZ....sucks for you, since the better you do in DC, the better the job you'll get after you are released as interim head coach.

This is just a horribly coached team.

I do not understand, at all, why your coach doesnt play Young, McGee & even Critt more. Not trying to troll, but IMO your team is in need of a rebuilding overhaul and those 3 players(Especially Young) have great potential to be legit NBA players. Instead of Nick getting minutes Juan 'I literally bring nothing to the table' Dixon is in?

Gotta commend Songalia though, I always have like the guy and he seems to play with a good deal of heart.

Preaching to choir here. It's not exactly rocket science. This has been a lost season for a while now, yet the coach is playing the vets heavy minutes like it's a prolonged playoff series.

I think Taps has shown for a while now that he's all about himself in the here and now and could care less about what's best for the Wizards' future. Not that running the vets into the ground is actually helping himself in the W/L column.

Seriously. It wouldn't be a proper blowout if we don't get at least one fan from the opposing team making one of these posts.

Tapscott's in way over his head.

Apparently that's true when he wakes up in the morning and has to contend with the sheets.
