I dont see anyone in the NFC beating the bears, I think New orleans is about the only real threat, and they have a weak secondary.
The bears (assuming without injury) really have no weaknesses.
The closest thing to a weakness for us is Grossman, and i'm almost positive (because of how he's worked on his mechanics) He will definately be improved. Not calling him John Elway or anything but he will be better than last year and he got us to a superbowl.
And I dont think anyone can argue that this is a much better team than last year.
And far as the AFC I only see New England and San Diego as competitors, being that the weak Defense that the colts had already, has been destroyed, and now will be greatly worse.
Who do you all see as competition for the bears for the superbowl this season? Or do you even see the bears as a superbowl team? Thoughts???

I only really follow the NFC belive ti or not. But I think that Philly will be a challenge with McNabb back. Also I agree with you that New Orleans is a threat.
I'm not worried at all about the NFC North or anyone else in the NFC east including the annual medi afavorites the Boyz and the Skinz.
I think the bears secure home field through out by week 12. They face Philly in the conference finals.

Always dangerous to predict the NFL. Every year, teams that are supposed to be great suck and vice versa.
The Bears appear to me to again be the class of the NFC. Importantly, I don't see any of the NFC-North competitors being overly dangerous. That should help us get home field.
Lots of potentially good teams in the AFC. The obvious ones are Indy, New England (don't like the thought of Moss there at all) and San Diego. Watch out for Denver...their kid QB can play, Shanahan can coach and they're always able to run the ball.
Hard for me to be objective about my beloved Bears, but if they're not unlucky with injuries (they don't need to be lucky, just not unlucky), I LOVE their chances.

It really is hard to predict. You'd have to think New Orleans is there, Dallas, Philly. I think San Francisco will surprise a lot of people, maybe not contend for the Super Bowl, but easily contend for the West.
Even though as of right now, the Bears look like the favorites in the NFC, I just don't see them going back to the Super Bowl, but I'm not entirely sure why.

I'm ready to see an explosive bears offense to go along w/ that already dominant defense... should be a fun year and i don't see any other teams that have made huge improvements. some surprising teams could be san fran, etc, and there's always the panthers and u never know about eli manning, but the only team close to the level of the bears right now is the saints. but the bears have gotten considerably better this offseason

Personally I would like to see how we recover from the so called Superbowl hangover(which I believe in actually) before I jump to any conclusions...
With that said, I am moreso worried about the AFC with all their talent rather than the NFC. I think we have proven we can beat almost anyone in the NFC, but the AFC(Ravens, Chargers, Colt(while lost a lot of pieces I still think is still dangerous.), and Patriots) scares me more.
