Sarver/Kerr meet with players

Post#1 » by jazzy_jeff » Sun Jan 25, 2009 10:39 pm

On pre-game show, they're saying Sarver/Kerr have joined team and met with each player individually

Say what you will about those two, but you can't say they don't care. This is kind of an unprecedented move.

Apologizing for what? If anybody should be apologizing, it should be the players with the exception of Shaq. I'm not going to balme Sarver or Kerr for this matter, it falls strictly on the shoulders of the coach and the players.

Your telling me that Steve, Jason, Grant , Amare and Shaq is not enough talent to win versus the Knicks and Bobcats? The players need to shut up and play the game that they are paid.

Who hired the coach? Who robbed the team of any chance of youth? Who hasn't been able to find Nash a backup for FOUR years?

--- Nicely done, rsavaj. And the follow-up re: no youth, no backup for nash for FOUR years.
Think about that - seriously.
To be fair this goes back to Mike D's days as GM but I see two guys in rockers out on the porch, tumbvleweeds rolling down the street.

"Y'know, we should probably get a real backup point guard ..."
"Yup, I reckon we ought to ...."
"Yep, need to get on that, pronto ...."

If anyone should be apologizing to anyone it should be Jerry Colangelo to the fans and team for selling the team. The demise of the team, excitement and potential all began there regardless of what level of responsibility the main culprits are to blame for, none of them would have been in place without the initial sale.
