Zach Randolph?

are you guys still open to a Zach for Darko and Jaric swap, as long as you get a #1?

That move is very tempting but it is not as necessary now as it was before the season. When Darko returns and if we sign D. Miles for the rest of the season we will be pretty athletic on the blocks with a pretty diverse mix. Acquiring Z Bo does give us 20 & 10 almost every night but we would still have the same defensive problems if not more with his acquisition.

Am I reading this right? Did someone just suggest the Clippers trade Zach Randolph(who was putting up 25 and 10) AND a 1st round pick for Darko and Jaric's crappy contract? WTF? Surely I must be missing something....

Were I Chris Wallace, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

However, I fear that Mr. Wallace and Kommandant Heisley would not make that trade now-they've convinced themselves that Darko is the answer to our defensive problems.

Sure, Darko was playing probably the best ball of his career before breaking the knuckle (not that that's saying much), but Randolph is still far more talented...

Wow - Darko and Jaric for Zbo and a first? Where do the Grizz sign up?

No, no, no...ZBo is a black hole and doesn't play defense at all.

Don't want him at all.

As much as I've been against getting Randolph, you have my attention depending on how protected that pick is.

If this actually happened, I would shake the hands of every member of the Grizz management. (supposing we don't blow our picks on garbage)

what about: Darko, Buckner, and the MN #1?

Is Jaric over Buckner a deal breaker?

Or Jaric, Buckner, and the MN #1?

IMO it would be a deal breaker. The Min pick doesn't come into play soon enough. A big part of the rationale of taking on the risk of the length of Zach's deal would be the relief of Marko's years.

ok, sounds good...understandably. what about Darko? would you guys do buckner and jaric and the mn #1? or is darko and jaric and the mn #1 better? Buckner has the cheaper deal but I didn't know if you guys were still high on Darko or not....

I wouldn't consider Darko a deal breaker, but personally I'd rather not see him go. When healthy he's been a solid defensive presence and his offense can't be dismissed either.

Or how about something like this:

Randolph/Thornton for Milicic/Buckner

Randolph would be your 20/10 guy next to Marc Gasol up front, and Thornton would be your 16-18ppg scorer off the bench in the 6th man role.
