Official Trade Thread

Post#1 » by Gorilla Warfare » Mon Jan 26, 2009 3:44 am

I know there was one before but that seemed to fall off the main page a while ago. So I figured I would remake it because of the whole starting 5 threads about Amare being traded and Porter issues and all that blah blah. Please lets not get this out of hand with trades that 1. make no sense and 2. cannot be legit trades. I will start off with this one.

Seeings as the Bucks are considering trading Villanueva and we all seem to be disappointed with Amare and we are looking for a legit Nash back up this trade could be good. Also includes us getting RJ btw.

That's an horrible trade for the Suns. Have you seen the movie Irreversible by Gaspar Noe? As soon as i saw that trade i remembered the tunnel scene and you know what? The Suns were playing the part of Monica Belucci.

You can get a lot more for Amar'e and he will never sign any kind of deal with the Bucks.

If Suns ever trade Amare, it will be a big regret. He's so talented, all he needs is a disciplined coach. Porter should be gone before anyone.

Amare's rebounding isn't really a problem when we have Shaq in the lineup. His defense CAN improve.

Actually, his poor rebounding is always a problem, no matter who you surround him with. And his defense has room for improvement, but after 7 years in the league, I don't have any hope that it will.

The only answer to this is to put a rebounding SF (Marion type) and C (Camby type) to sorround Amare.

Nash for Kirk Heinrich. Nash's contract comes off the books if Bulls decline it next year, they have their point guard of the future anyways. Heinrich plays solid D, and is more halfcourt to mix with Shaq.

I was earlier thinking Amare for Rasheed Wallace, but i think thats a real desperation move that doesn't help us in the longterm, maybe it gives us a better chance this year, but i don't think it'll be worth it.

PHX-MIA-SAC

Nash / Barbosa
Salmons / Barnes
Marion / Hill
Stoudamire / Thompson
Miller / Lopez

Eliminates our lone low post scorer (so that every posession it doesnt have to go through Shaq's hand, im serious  ). Improves our perimeter defense with Salmons and Marion. Ease pressure on Nash as playmaker with Salmons and Miller in the line-up.

OK, how about this from us Heaters....

Marion, Daequan Cook, Dorrell Wright, and a second round pick for Amare & filler? In this you get your boy Shawn back or use his expiring. You get a young shooter and defender in Cook that is coming into his own and along very nicely right now. You get a freaky athletic Dorrell Wright whom would work much better in your system than ours (unfortuantely) and you get a pick.

If you want more meat to add to that you could then later swing something with D'Antoni I am sure for say Nash and/or Marion to land you some promising youngs and picks.

And you don't just chance losing Amare, which is a good possibility in 10. I think this is sweet for both teams.

Kerr would start with Beasley and go from there, and he'd probably end up asking for Marion/Chalmers

Yeah, there's no way in HELL we want Marion back at the expense of giving up STAT. Thanks, but no thanks. One ego for another, let's just say it's useless.

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/t ... &te=&cash=

They throw in a first.

Would you guys do it? I know I would, in a heartbeat.

Josh Smith + Ronald Murray + Speedy's contract + 2010 1st for Amare + 2010 2nd.

Nash/Murray
J-Rich/Barbs
Hill/Barnes
Smith/Lou
Shaq/Lopez

Speedy's contract comes off the books in 2010 if he doesn't take a medical retirement prior to that. We don't have to worry about "resigning" Josh, who would be our franchise, because he's locked in for 5 years. Once Shaq + Nash are out in 2010, we can sign 1 big name player to a max contract (probably a center) and then pick up a decent PG. =]
