Quotes from opposing team's boards after we PWN them.

Post#1 » by theGreatRC » Mon Jan 26, 2009 5:48 am

Credit to B Calrissian for the idea of this thread..Let's do this

It seems that we seem to be the faith destroyers after we kapwn a team and everyone is in immediate panic.

Let's get some quotes going.

Here are some from the Bulls game tonight (Jaunuary 25th 2009)

Pax Man wrote:Another bunch of losers had monsters games against us what else is new!

The Bulls are awful, now losing to crappy teams! Blow this crap up Paxson!

Payt10 wrote:LOL. We lost to the Wolves again. We are the worst team in the NBA right now without a doubt.

Pax Man wrote:How many more teams with crappy records are we going to lose to!

We use to beat these sh*t teams!

That was me. The Bucks are already hard enough on their players, so when the Wolves beat them there should be some more good quotes.
The Wolves are spirit breakers like Frank on Sunny.

From the Bulls..

olympiakos777 wrote:There is absolutely no defense on this team. Wtf is Jefferson doing watever he wants out there.. Especially when Jefferson is a little girl, Nocioni fouled him a biiit hard n he gets mad... And wtf did Rose do at the end of regulation!!!!!! Plus Kevin love should come to the bulls.

From PHX 1/16:

elly23 wrote:CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT? THE WOLVES WENT AT AMARE WITH CRAIG SMITH!!!!!!! CRAIG SMITH!!!!!!! and guess what craig smith made most of his points during that stretch. even the announcers said craig smith cannot compete with amare bucket for bucket becauses hes going to lost everytime. you don't hear the spurs announcers say craig smith cannot compete with tim duncan bucket for bucket. BECAUSE ITS CRAIG FREAKING SMITH.

garrick wrote:We shouldn't be struggling to win versus a crap team like the Wolves.

1/10 vs MIL:

Worst loss of the season. No reason they should have lost this game. The Wolves are an inferior team.

Worst loss of the year without question.....18-21. Now another 3 games to get back to .500. It's going to be hard to get there when you lose games to teams as bad as the Wolves

Hard to swallow that you can slow down Jefferson and still lose to the Wolves.

you CANNOT lose games like this.

This is nothing, if you guys follow the Twins at all, and you are looking for a chuckle its always good to visit www.whitesoxinteractive.com - that site cracks me up! A couple things i remember "I wish we could nuke that crap metrodome!" "Who the hell is Nick Punto!? Everytime we play this team, NIck Punto ends up looking like Mickey Mantle!"

this one was complimentary:

I just can't get enough of Kevin Love. Best basketball instincts for a young player I've seen since Jason Kidd. If he ever truly gets in shape, oh my God

Bucks game thread, near the beginning when we got off to such a slow start. Then we beat them.

If you think these CHI quotes are bad, you should check out the game thread the first time we played them, when our team had lost so many games, and CHI still had some hope.

in their defense, it was kind of a kick in the sack game. Wolves didn't exactly play flawlessly down the stretch, Chicago just couldn't quite capitalize. Its one thing if the Wolves are hitting a bunch of tough contested shots everytime down court, but when you lose a game like that where you have so many opportunities to win, those are the crushers.

I feel for you Chicago. And you too England (I'm assuming the Deng/Gordon duo has drawn in a few English fans)

"In the land of the blind - the one eyed man is king".

Keep the quotes coming - it's fun reading them. We all knew that pups were a better team than what they were showing under the guy we'd like to forget. If these guys want to have hissy fits good luck to them... As i always say: "the lower the expectation - the higher the achiever" - it worked for GWB and it can work for the Wolves...

I am starting to feel a little sorry for the guy we'd rather forget tho. - it's not his fault that McHale hired him and didn't replace him for so long. Absolute nightmare scenario for the poor guy...

This is a fun thread. People don't realize that this is not the 4-15 crap Wolves of Wittman's tenure. This team is 11-12 under McHale. We are almost .500.

I can't blame opposing fans for not respecting the Wolves. All this success sort of came out of nowhere. It going to take more than 1 good month before they catch on.

Meh. I'd trade places with him. He's getting paid to sit onhis duff and he's getting paid more money than I'll be able to make in 50 years.

If anything, Wittman should feel bad for the rest of us schmucks.

Btw, this thread is awesome.

yep. plus our schedule hasn't been that tough lately while being lucky vs the Hornets (they missed two of their starters). if we somehow make it to ~.500 through the next 8 games (RC mentioned the opponents) I'd say we are a decent team.

don't get me wrong, I saw tons of improvement and I don't want to take anything away from us being the best team in 2009 recordwise but still we should remain humble.

yep, I've taking these wins in stride because for the most part, we've done them against frontcourts we can control. The exception is Phoenix, but Amare is struggling and doesn't D up anyways. But seeing Love compete with Shaq and grab a few rebounds over him was nice.

The true test of a quality frontcourt we played; Millsap/Okur; we lost the game and they both went off on us.

True. But they are at least establishing themselves as a team to not just overlook as an easy win anymore. And they are winning against the lesser teams. They still have a long way to go and this is not the time to get cocky but they look like a bottom-third team now instead of a bottom 10% team. That is a big improvement.

Gonna take more than 8 games to get back to .500, unless they start counting some of the more decisive wins double.

we're competing now because Foye is playing well. Last night he struggled, but Jefferson was a monster.
Usually if both play well, we can win against just about anyone. If one struggles, the other better be going off for 40 or we'll get woodshedded

Devils I pretty much agree with that, buuuut I think that Love could start going off on people and allowing us to win without one of those two.

Best quote I have heard in a long time was Denard Span's sideline interview last night at the game.

Hughes "So do you play any basketball?"

Span "Ya I played all through high school I love it."

Hughes "So you think you could hang with the guys out there on the court?"

Span "Im not sure, but I know I could play for the Wolves"
