Honestly I'd prefer them rebuild. Either put together a team Ainge feels can win a Championship after Pierce and Garnett retire or rebuild. I feel much better with Ainge in charge and can't see him trading a Billups or Joe Johnson, so it was more incompetence with previous management. Keep Rondo and Perkins, and build a team around the fast break with Rondo leading the team. They may not be very good, but very exciting.

Yeah I mean Ainge wouldn't deal away a guy like Brandon Roy, yikes, how is that any different? I didn't think he would be this good either.

I think it will be very difficult to bring in a big ticket guy through FA, and Boston isn't likely to accumulate the contracts to make a huge trade.

I think they can try and keep the window open ala the Spurs with veteran guys through MLE and but outs and the key becomes nailing on a couple of these young guys and having the guts to hold on to them.

It was has brought the Spurs down, they let too much young talent slip through their fingers. I know he has off the court issues they let Stephen Jackson go for 1 mil and he only starts the list.

I think Ainge understands young talent and will keep this moving forward but I think Ray is more likely than not to sign another contract with the Cetlics.

Oklahoma is a terrible franchise. They had an opportunity to be special if they held on to Ray and Lewis and drafted Durant they might have been a finals team instead of Lakers. Their team has young talent which means it will fall apart unless they can pull off a Garnett like trade because young players usually mature after the big pay day. Even the best young player of all time Lebron James took years to mature and that was with a team loaded with veterans around him.

Durant may love Okalahoma for all I know. But his agent is not a fool and I guarantee he wil be open to offers if his team is still awful in 2010/11. Shaq left for LA and in the last few years big names have moved all over the place. Anything can happen and if Danny likes Durant (I hope he doesn't because I can't stand his game) he will definitely make a run at him.

I could actually see him doing this but for now Im gonna enjoy the next few years of contending.

I think there's no way Durant leaves OKC. With Seattle keeping their records he's already the best player in the history of the franchise and he'll own at a minimum 50% of all of their records should he be blessed with good health. The Thunder GM is doing a great job building and as long as they get a real coach Durant will be there for quite a while.
