Boston and Cleveland NET PER's to 1/26/09

NET PER is your PER minus the PER of the man you are guarding.
Players who play 35% of Total Team Minutes Have an NBA Rank

Celtics
+11.1 Kevin Garnett 9th in NBA
+09.7 Ray Allen 14th in NBA (never thought he was that good, but after 46 games ...)
+05.8 Rajon Rondo 31st in NBA
+05.7 Paul Pierce 35th in NBA

+02.8 Tony Allen
+01.3 Leon Powe
+00.4 Eddie House 101 in NBA
-00.6 Kendrick Perkins 121 in NBA

-02.6 Bill Walker

-05.4 Gabe Pruitt (clean your locker nice'n spiffy for Mr. Marbury)
-08.1 Glen Davis (imagine if the Celtics had a real backup center?)
-08.8 Patrick O'Bryant
-12.0 Brian Scalabrine

Cleveland
+24.6 Lebron James 1rst in NBA
+11.5 Zydrunas Illgauskas 7th in NBA

+03.8 Delonte West 54th in NBA
+02.1 Wally Szczerbiak 73rd in NBA
+01.7 Anderson Varejo 81st in NBA
+01.5 Ben Wallace 84th in NBA

-01.0 Mo Williams 133rd in NBA
-01.8 JJ HIckson
-02.3 Tarence Kinsey
-03.0 Sasha Pavlovic
-04.0 Daniel Gibson 181 in NBA

-10.3 Lorenzon Wright
-27.5 Darnell Jackson

Based on NET PER,
the Celtics and Cavs have the following ranks
by position (out of 30 NBA teams):

Point Guard: Celtics 4 / Cavs 22
Shooting Guard: Celtics 3 / Cavs 6
Small Forward: Celtics 3 / Cavs 1
Power Forward: Celtics 4 / Cavs 2
Center: Celtics 15 / Cavs 3 (before Illgauskas was injured they were #1)

Looks like the Celtics need help up front,
and Scottie Pippen guarding LeBron James.
Another shooter wouldn't hurt.

Are these numbers based on starters only or the whole team? Because I don't see how Cleveland's power forward ranks higher than KG.

the thing is lebron plays the PF position like 1/3 of the game which helps the stat. It's based on the whole team, like whoever plays the position.
