STFU with the Crap-Rod talk!!! He's been on fire lately and the Yankees are in LAST PLACE. One player does not make a team. And he's going to want 30 million per season!!! If we're spending big money, let it be on Johan Santana, someone we actually NEED.

He wants to be a Met. He is/was a met fan. IMO buying an ace is a risky move. I think the best aces you can get are developed in the farm system or traded when he is young and at a low point.

Look what happened to Glavine. He took forever to start producing. Pedro is an exception because he is the greatest pitcher ever.

Why not get the greatest player ever for that money and have a sick offense for 7-8 years? We already proved we can win without the greatest pitching.

Ummm because we're not the Yankees. If you want a superstar at every position, then go root for the Yankees. I like competitive baseball. Beating up every team 10-2 is not fun. Exciting pennant races are fun.

Also we have David Wright at third and Reyes at SS. Where is Crap-Rod going to play?!?!?!? And most Mets fans HATE Alex Rodriguez!

And we only proved we can get to the NLCS with a so-so starting staff, but in order to win the World Series, we're going to need an ace. I'd rather spend the money on the best pitcher in baseball and watch our youngsters Fernando Martinez, Carlos Gomez, Jose Reyes, David Wright and Milledge on offense.

Oh and Crappy chokes in the clutch. How much do we have to pay him to suck for us in the postseason?

F*** ARod.
