Horrible loss, Artest killed all ball momentum and took horrible shots. McGrady took some poor shots towards the end as well, just overall another pathetic defensive effort, and poor offensive execution. We need Yao back desperately.

He also benched Brooks, who was playing great, for Skip to the three point line where I'm going to miss lots of shots. And worst of all, I don't think even he knows why he does these things.

Our interior D was horrible, especially down the stretch. Lee was killing us on the boards. Other games were questionable, but we really needed to give Deke some minutes this game

How many games can you recall seeing this exact scenerio. Its disgusting how T-mac won't show some balls and drive to the damn hoop. Injury or no injury, he just settles for that disguesting long jumper when Rockets need a high FG% shot.

Over and Over. He can go 42 points 10 rebounds and 10 assists but at the end of the game when its a 2-3 point difference T-mac will play ISO with an ugly jumper. Thats why he is a playoff failure, bloated Stats but when it comes down to the wire, no killer instinct.

Go ahead blame all those games he settled for the long jumpers and missed on other players playing like crap, missing layups, the bottom line is 2-3 point ball game, the ball is in T-mac's hand. Epic Failure.

If T-mac doesn't want to be a star, than don't have the ball in your hands. Personally Ric should of stuck with the 2nd unit, 2nd unit was far better team.

Wafer needs more minutes, at least he has the balls to drive to the hoop when he doesn't have a good look for a 3.
Agreed. But be careful, you might be called a tmac basher by one of the tmac nuthuggers.

Bash by what? The truth, even T-mac lovers have to agree, this is what T-mac does. Plus out of the other SG, he is probably the worst finisher in the paint, especially now because his elevation is horrible.

What I am most pissed about is "T-mac declaring he will be back and get the last laugh"... So far nobody is lauging and nobody is impressed.

As for Artest, he sucked horrible on O, but at least his plays better D (gambles alot) but he is light years ahead in that department vs T-mac. Back than you can live with T-mac's average defense, because he could score and score well. Today not only is he a fraction of his former self on the offense side, his defense has gotten worse. Hard to Defend T-mac at this rate.

Our D was horrible, however did you know we held them to 47% FG, 28% 3pt FG and we had 1 less total team rebound.

While we shot 33 3pt FG at 30%, blame that on Rafer (7), T-mac(9) and Artest (10), you know what that means right, no Yao in the middle to clog the paint and our players still can't drive the ball into the paint. LOL and our 2 star players overall shot 19 3pt shots out of 39 total FG. Epic offensive failure.

In other words Rockets took 12 more 3 pointers on a team, that has an even worse interior D.

Some of you guys bark up the wrong trees more often than chihuahuas.

Artest sucks at offense.

no man or we wouldn't have seen 33 3pt attempts. We need more 3's, forget driving to the hoop for a higher FG%. We need more 3's. Next game, we should go for 40 3pt attempts. Than after that we should only take those 3 point shots. Hell even Yao can join in.

Can't blame today's loss on one single player. I agree that Tmac didn't play well, he shot a bad % and was pretty unclutch but some of you guys are going a bit overboard IMO. Artest was even worse and Scola missing an open layup didn't help either. Adelman also deserves some blame for his rotations and not playing Mutombo.

It was just an epic failure for the whole team.

NEW YORK -- Of all the moves in Rafer Alston's repertoire, this was the rare one that he pulled off away from the court.

It's called the Rip Job, the time-honored, always-risky move where one calls out one's teammates for being selfish. Alston pulled it out of his bag of tricks in his hometown Monday night, trashing the Houston Rockets following their 104-98 loss to the New York Knicks.

"We played selfish tonight," Alston said, beginning a monologue that repeatedly came back to that opening statement. "They were able to capitalize off our selfishness, and we have to decide whether we're going to play one-on-one, or we're going to pass the ball to each other and play team ball."

T-Mac and moreso Artest deserve to get called out, but it's laughable that it's by Alston, he's been equally as selfish than the both of them. The only time he's passed the past two games was to Scola coming off the pick and roll...

Totally agree....It's come to the point where you can predict tmac's shot when there's any kind of pressure in the game. A 2-3 foot behind the 3 pt line broke ass shot. When we won 22 games, other players stepped up (yes), but tmac also passed the ball more. Hell even novak got a last second look at the end of the game. Now it seems when there's 2 mins left either Ron or Tmac will jack up repetitive 3's until the clock is out. WTF man, that's trash ball. That's the trash I see at the Y....this is the **** NBA. Where's RA to draw up some plays. He needs to draw up some plays, not just draw up some plays so ron or t-wack can ISO on the outside. That's not a **** play!!! Coach needs to do their job, players need to execute. Wafer needs more time...and Rafer needs to go....

He didn't call them out, he called the whole team out. He's on the team, and thus not exempted (as far as that article shows at least).

I agree with Rafer calling the team out, but he's also part of the problem

I completely agree with Rafer... But why the hell isn't Aldeman saying anything? Is he scared? We need JVG back.
