Mek is a top 6 Center

Post#1 » by Dexmor » Mon Jan 26, 2009 9:07 pm

Center

1.Howard
2.Al Jefferson-He gets the nod over Ming cause he is healthy
3.MIng-If only he could stay healthy
4.Bynum
5.Mek
6.Shaq-He is this low because he can't play back to back games and he can't adapt to other players they have to adapt to him so he no longer makes players better, he maybe even (Please Use More Appropriate Word) them some.

Interesting choice of words to describe Shaq's effect on other players.

I just want to say,the family name of Yao Ming is [Yao].

Chinese people put their family name front,ex:[Yi] Jianlian of New Jersey and [Sun] Yue of the Lakers

I know that. I was gonna type Y Ming but forgot the Y. Who cares anyway.

(Please Use More Appropriate Word) means to hold back. He is currently holding back the Suns from running.

I don't think it will be too long till you have to add Oden to that list, especially if Bynum 'deserves' to be on it

I don't know what the criteria are here... if it's this season, Yao has only missed like 4 games, he has to be ranked #2. If it's talent, you still pick Yao... so unless it's "which one would you like for the future" this list doesn't make sense, and even if it were Shaq would never be 6th. Bynum is of course comically overrated almost regardless of the criteria, and of course Andris Biedrins is very conspicuously absent.

The answers always really depend on who you consider a center... Tim Duncan is one at this point, though everyone pretends he isn't, and he'd obviously be among the top 3.

Oden's a long way from deserving a spot in the top 6, but this is his first season, of course.

My own list, on the basis of performance this season:
1. Dwight Howard
2. Duncan
3. Yao
4. Al Jefferson
5. Okafor
6. Biedrins (Could be above Okafor, if his defense has improved to "good")
7. Shaq
8. Bynum
9. Camby
10. Nene
